Complaining about a particular cleaner in the Gerrards cross area, blonde lady with a severe acne issue. This individual was in a molly maid car and was beating her dog, when confronted she got extremely aggressive and threatened us. This individual smelt of alcohol and is an extremely bad representation of the company " molly maid" I advise the company to investigate this employee and sort this issue out asap.

“Taking advantage of vulnerable adults”

I am writing this review on behalf of my 74 year old mother. She has been using Molly Maid for years and they have been taking advantage of her for years but she is too nice to say anything. They claim to charge a premium for the service to allow for flexibility. I’m not sure if the flexibility is right when it is for the cleaners to come when they like at any time and any day. Sometimes they don’t even come each week. It is completely adhoc. My mum has to make sure the smallest clutter is removed otherwise they clean around the objects and can’t even be bothered to lift them up. For this “premium” service my mum pays £70 for two people to come and “clean” for 45mins!!!! Absolutely shameful. I use a cleaning service myself and they charge £50 for one person to come for 3 hours and at least they move small objects like books and magazines!

“Total sham. Avoid!”

Paid a first class ticket to fly in the hold of a low cost!! So disappointing. First clean was £200 and result was appalling. Cleaners consistently arriving late, breaking things, missing very obvious things (like food on the floor next to my baby high chair!!), disturbing my husband on work calls and so on (all of this in 3 visits only!). All topped with an attitude. Manager not even interested to know why we decided to stop our contract...

“Shocking”

After not keeping up with my house work I treated myself to a full spring clean. Lady came round and quoted me £415 for a full spring clean top to bottom and kitchen cupboards all cleaned I left the cleaners to it and returned end of day No kitchen cupboards cleaned, no cooker hood cleaned, broken bed, dead flies on window sill, dust and cobwebs remaining, mirrors and windows smeared and a lot more After a complaint I was told they would return but I waited and they did not come I was then told I liared about the broken bed and should have paid more for the clean and they attempted parts of the clean had been missed I asked for a refund and was offered £100 Totally disappointed and added to my stress instead of taking it away Will ever use or recommend again for a company that told me they were a premium service Shocking service

“Molly Maid Rude & Inconsiderate”

A Molly Maid driver pulled out in front of me in Hale, Cheshire. I had to emergency stop. They then gave me the finger. Why would you let a company who employees people behaving like that (in a branded vehicle) near anything you cared about? Don't do it.

“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY”

We wanted to book Molly Maid’s for regular weekly cleaning, as part of this they say they cannot provide you with an hourly rate and that they will need to carry out an initial “thorough” clean of your flat in advance. They took an initial £100 deposit for this and state that if the work is much more than this then they will charge further money. When the time came they charged an extra £100 due to a lot of cat fur etc. – which was fine. I phoned to complain after the cleaners had left and I had a chance to look over the work, they said they would send maids back and refund me £40. This was arranged for Tuesday and they said they would contact me on Monday with a time. Monday came – no call. I contact them and they told me they would let me know a time. Tuesday came – no call. Honestly a total rip off and completely incompetent office staff, who before they try and defend themselves by sending maids to remedy poor work and having several failed attempts at entry I will give you background to the situation. I had to organize a dentist appointment over my lunch break on Tuesday and assumed they were no longer coming as there had been no communication regarding a time. Then just before I need to leave for my appointment I get a text saying they’ll be at my flat in 10 minutes. I had to refuse as I now had an appointment. It was arranged that they would return on Friday, initially I had a meeting in the morning so I said after 12PM. On Thursday morning my meeting was changed, I gave them more than 24 hours’ notice to make them aware to come any time accept 1-2PM. At 12:59 I get a call on Friday saying they are outside, I said I cannot let them in – I have a meeting, have no time to go over the poor areas with them and can’t have noise whilst I am in an online meeting. They then say they will have to reschedule AGAIN. I then had to spend this time in my meeting distracted to explain to the office that I couldn’t let the maids in to which I received the following responses. 1. “Many failed attempts and refusal of entry” 2. “Clearly finished my meeting as I had time to communicate” 3. “We were only asking for a little lee-way” If they had even given me one call ahead of time I would have been able to explain the situation, I was not finished my meeting but had to text back and forth to say I couldn’t let them in as I couldn’t have noise. Also, as it was remedy work I needed time to explain the exact areas as I was told it wouldn’t be another full clean. A little lee-way was complete inconvenience for me, I had arranged to work from home to accommodate then and was available every other hour of the day, my paranoia feels like they did all of this deliberately so that I couldn’t get my money back. Unless you are someone who stays inside all day and has money to burn then this company is not for you, you also need to be blind to ignore the rushed work that is done for the price of £200 for 3 cleaners who spent 1 hour cleaning and somehow light bulbs were still dusty, dust balls and cat fur still in corners, radiators still dusty, picture frames still dusty, stains still on floors, ovens not properly cleaned even though this was an additional £30 charge. Please for your sanity do not give this company and give them your money. They now have £160, which they took for an hour clean when the place wasn’t even properly hoovered or mopped let alone dusted and “thoroughly cleaned”. They then blocked my mobile and refused to answer their landline – guess I’ll never see that money again.

“Bad service ”

Cobwebs not cleaned windows untouched curtains rails not cleaned when asked to clean i was told they don’t go that hight i paid a small fortune for a end of tenancy clean but they left kitchen sticky unclean behind radiators i still have dust this all despite agreeing in writing. i would not recommend them. I have all the proof of bad service and what was agreed. Do not waste your money with Molly Maid employ private cleaner and pay them good money they do a better job. I’m doing this now having had bad experience with molly maid. I should have just thrown the money in the bin. Service was a total waste

“quality attention to detail ”

I paid £250 for half day deep clean thats 3 hours in this companies rules. one bedroom included. Items left undusted,items left untidily placed back .step ladder left in lounge instead of being placed where they got them. big cobweb from light fitting. LEFT PREMSES before 3 hours expired and without the opportunity to check out their work and put right the oversights. would never recommend this company on account of this. In fairness the company offered to sent the two staff back to make good but I declined, they do not offer part refund policy.the ladies were pleasant. since I did not have a home visit, I had no idea what level or standard to expect of deep clean of kitchen bathroom living room bedroom and hallway.by two people. It was a lot of money for 2.15hrs, not value for money in my opinion

Don’t get me wrong, it might be great elsewhere, but I’ve had a disappointing, frustrating experience in Bromley/Greenwich franchise. I had an initial visit from a Georgina who quoted for my ‘big’ initial clean to be 3 hours Before ongoing, weekly cleaning. At £180 for 3 hours x 2 cleaners, I had my clean. The women turned up half hour early, so got turned away for half hour, whilst I finished with my visitor. I’m beginning to think they finished their previous job early, as they left mine early, saying to my husband they’d done everything I asked. When I saw the work, I noted: no window sills dusted, no bedside tables polished, no cobwebs removed, floor-tiles wiped but not around toilets or behind doors, not wiped kitchen surfaces except around objects, not behind micro, not touched outside or inside of the latter, not wiped dining table where objects were on it, such as vase, not vacuumed under dining table or picked things up from it, not wiped kitchen units or white goods. What did I actually pay for? Afterwards, the customer ‘care’ was damning, as they failed to ask me how the clean went, come round to see what I might be complaining about, and then the boss (Imelda) me an email to tell me if I wanted a spring clean it would be an all-day job at £380. No apology at ANY time. Today, I got an email stating that they have given me “3 hours man power as a gesture of goodwill.” “ And, don't believe we are the service you are looking for, but I do wish you luck in finding a more suitable service provider.” Unbelievable!

“Not to be to trusted!”

As far as the cleaning goes Molly Maid were ok. All I will say is this if no one apart from you and your partner have been in your property since Molly Maid have been cleaning and something goes missing (money and accessories) and you approach them even with a police number they won't believe you replying back with "our cleaners have been with us for a year so they wouldn't have done it" . In there eyes you are just a number. For anyone thinking about using this firm i would suggest you make sure you are in the room whilst they are cleaning at all times not just in the property the same room and lock everything away because they will look to see an opportunity. We usually had the same cleaners come round apart from once which we think was the time when we suspected it happened they just brushed it off. No care no empathy no class

MY WIFE AND I HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR OVER 5 YEARS. WE LIKE THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT WHICH TAKES THE STRESS OFF US OF PURCHASING CLEANING SUPPLIES. WE HAVE THEM EARLY IN THE A.M. SO THAT OUR DAY IS NOT INTERRUPTED. THEY SHOW UP ON TIME. WE HAVE SOME SPECIAL ITEMS TO BE CLEANED LIKE MARBLE FLOORS SO WE GIVE THEM A CLEANER AND SEALER THAT WE PURCHASED AND THEY APPLY. WE ALSO HAVE HARDWOOD FLOORS AND THEY USE VINEGAR WHICH LEAVES THE FLOOR BOTH CLEAN AND SHINY. WE CAN RECOMMEND THEM AS ONE OF OUR CHILDREN ALSO USES THEIR SERVICE.

“Bromley Molly Maids - Avoid”

We paid £120 for two cleaners for two hours. Our small two bed flat was empty of all furniture as we had moved out. We spoke to someone who was very helpful and understood that the main requirements were for the floors and skirting boards to be clean for potential viewers - anything else was a bonus if there was time within the two hours. We don't know whether the problem was with the cleaners themselves or the communication from head office but when I next visited the flat a few weeks later the bedroom floor had not been hoovered and the skirting boards were still dirty. When I complained they said that they couldn't do anything because it was more than two days since cleaning (not sure how an empty flat could get dirty let alone within a few weeks!) and that in two hours they must have run out of time after the kitchen and the bathroom. I tried to make them understand that they should have done the floors and skirting board first as was agreed by email but to no avail. Even if they had tackled everything in the wrong order, how two cleaners couldn't clean a flat with no furniture in two hours is beyond me. Shocking service and terrible customer service- will never use again and will be telling everyone I know in Bromley to avoid them! We didn't even ask for a refund, just wanted the job that was agreed completed or a partial refund if that wasn't possible but they stopped replying to emails.

“£64 down the drain!”

have just paid £64 for an hours clean (3 cleaners), that's approx. £21 each per hour!!! and the house doesn't look that much better. I asked for 3 rooms to be dusted, floors hovered and washed and 1 bathroom cleaned. There was dust on both console tables in the dining room, dust on the shutters, dust on picture frames. Dust under all radiators and corners of the rooms. What a complete waste of £64! This is the Morpeth, Northumberland Franchise, a complete rip off. Although judging by the reviews, the whole company is pretty useless.

We've used Molly Maids in 3 homes. The latest in this home for almost 6 years. Team 13 has kept our home spotless through huge parties, construction and Holidays. We tried other services at first, but found the maids needed bowl cleaners, window cleaners and sometimes vacuum cleaners. Molly Maids are bonded, insured and bring everything they need to make their visit a pleasant one. Sure, over time accidents occassionally happen, but these folks call attention to it immediately. We highly recommend Molly Maids and wouldn't think of calling anyone else. Thank you Team 13 for an excellent experience.

“The most slapdash, minimalist clean possible”

A truly dreadful service; I had been away for seven months and paid the Farnborough franchise to clean my small two bedroom flat. I would confidently state that nothing in the kitchen was cleaned at all; the rest of the flat looked as if only the most cursory clean had been done, with dust and cobwebs left undisturbed, and a dead fly on the floor of the bedroom, which should have been vacuumed. I ended up cleaning the house myself. I foundthe service utterly appalling, and would suggest very strongly booking any other company than this.

“Molly maid Wimbledon - worst cleaning I've ever had.”

Dust cottons left throughout, limescale, sink and bathroom sink were not (if at all) properly cleaned/disinfected. They left 15 minutes earlier than they should have (13:05 to 14:19), which means we've paid 30 minutes of work than wasn't done. One would have expected not only that they continue working on the rest of the house, but that at least they finish a bit more thoroughly what they roughly did. If it's a question of wipping, I don't think we need paid professional cleaners to do it, we can do it ourselves. Not to mention that I had to be behind them while they were there to call them out on a few tasks that I was able to check on and that were really poorly executed (tasks as basic as dust and hoovering). Complained to get their satisfaction guaranteed actioned. The owner told me that they wouldn't get anyone back the same week but would just refund, as I seemed crossed by their level of service and she didn't like my tone of voice and I would never be happy with their service anyway. On that she was probably right as it was the second time we were complaining. Then she hung up on my face. Never came across anything like it, just LOL. What a joke, especially when they are so expensive. Not only you would expect a good to excellent level of service performed, but also a good customer service. Not only they didn't stay the full time, but it was for sure the worst cleaning I've ever seen. I do NOT recommend.

“Dreadful customer service”

We have used Molly Maids for over 12 months with problem until four weeks ago when they managed, in cleaning our granite kitchen work surfaces, to do this in a manner which has left stains on every surface which we are unable to remove. MM are not accepting any responsibility for the damage on the basis that their cleaning products have not changed over the period they have worked for us. There was no-one else in the house when the damage was done. Never again.

$90 an hour, 2 hours,small house, 2 young cleaning ladies added up to very poor cleaning. Dusting was hit or miss, when they mopped they missed the same stuff on the floor that the vacuum didn't get. There was soap film left in the shower... they did offer to reclean but I don't want them in the house.

“An awful service that added to, not relieved, our stress”

We used Molly Maid Chelmsford for an end of tenancy clean and it was an awful experience; despite clarifying in person and in writing that the clean needed to start at a certain time and be completed by a certain time, ahead of check-out and handing keys back, no-one showed up at the agreed time. When I called, it became apparent that it was a franchise arrangement and there was no possible way of reaching the manager of the Chelmsford branch except via email. 3 calls and 2 hours later the cleaners still had not arrived and I was frantic. The reception taking my calls claimed to have no way to reach the manager except via emailing her and they could give me no information on if or when any cleaners would actually turn up. It was highly stressful and inappropriate and although the receptionist seemed sympathetic to my situation, there was nothing she could do. Given that Molly Maid say satisfaction is guaranteed, the way they managed this situation, and indeed how it seems the franchise model is managed, is definitively not conducive to great customer service and I would not use them again. The cleaners eventually arrived 2 hours and 15 minutes after they were scheduled and they finished at the point the inventory clerk arrived. Although they did a reasonable job overall, some parts were clearly rushed and I was charged for elements not cleaned to the required standard. All in all a very bad experience that did not "take the stress out of everyday life" but badly added to it. Avoid.
