Good Points: The service supplied and how they went the extra mile, facilities, area ,beach and its essential Spanishness
Bad Points: None
General comments: We had a glorious week at Nuevo Portil, Brisa del Mar in March 2009. The house has everything exactly as described , even beach towels, so we brought very little with us. It is spotlessly clean and very well equipped even down to the smallest detail. We used the Ipod dock all the time and read some of the books which are available while sunbathing on the balcony. We had breakfast on the terrace every morning. We felt very much at home as this was our second visit to Brisa del Mar. We love this part of Spain. The weather was like summer and we spent a lot of time on the beach. We made good use of the two bikes and we were on the beach in minutes. There are lovely cycle paths through the pine trees along the fabulous beach which stretches for miles. The sunsets are magnificent.Off season the pool is closed as is the nearby water park and some of the restaurants but this didn ' t bother us at all. A car is essential and we stopped off at the supermarkets near Cartaya and stocked up on all we needed for the week. The journey from Faro airport is very easy and the directions to the house are spot on.The owners are a pleasure to deal with and provide a great service. They really want you to enjoy your holiday. They have a first class holiday home and all arrangements regarding keys and payment are flawless. We highly recommend this property to our friends and we can ' t wait to go back.

Brisa del Mar. South facing in a quiet location, very easy to walk to either the beach or the golf course. Some other good courses less than 10 mins drive away. We went in December and thought the wood burning stove was brilliant as it got chilly in the evenings out. Very well appointed with a lot more than you would expect in a holiday home. The Ipod docking station was a neat idea and I particularly liked the MP3 docking station in the kitchen so I could groove as I cooked. Not many resturants ...- Read Guest's review (108 words)

I don't understand how this area has stayed a secret for so long. Prices are much much lower than the better known Costas and it's really unspoilt. We loved it and will be going back again.- Read Guest's review (126 words)

This area must be Spain's best kept secret and is much cheaper than the other Costas. We struggled to find the owner's website on Google so here it is to save you the trouble: www.brisadelmar.talktalk.net. Fantastic holiday - we are going again in 2009.- Read Longjm's review (107 words)

Nearness to beach and Golf course, location, furnishings and the little extras in the Kitchen that made cooking ( when we wanted to) like cooking at home. The fact that it was not to built up and had a nice Spanish feel to it. A great place to go for a beach or Golf holiday. It was situated on a nice course but El Rompido course (8 Mins drive away) was awesome but hard. Bad point, none but not suitable for a wheelchair user as no lift in the house.- Read JML's review (88 words)

Brisa del Mar has easy access to the beach and golf course, well furnished particularly the kitchen that had extras that I did not expect such as a blender. South facing for sun worshippers and easy access to the road for binging in our supplies ( liquid). Shaded area on the patio garden and on each of the balconies. Golf was cheaper than the other Costa's. As we were out of season not all the restaurants were open. A really good town house for up to 6 people who like either the beach or golf.
