“Shockingly bad service”

I placed a large order with The White Company which included a number of Xmas gifts at the end of November. I am still waiting to find out if I will receive these items over two weeks later. I have tried many times to contact TWC either by phone or email but to no avail, they clearly don't want to be contacted! “Horrendous Experience”

“Sheets which pill after 3 washes and dread customer...”

I spent £100 on a fitted sheet and 2 pillow cases in October. The sheet has pilled very badly after only 3 washes. I have been a loyal customer to the White Company for over 10 years, but when I contacted them to complain about the sheet I was told that this fabric does pill and that they will send me a pilling comb in the post to remove the bobbles. “Is 'easy-care' bedding supposed to look crinkled?”

I wonder if Chris Rucker is an actual person? Hope so because I just emailed him/her (rather than send a second email to Customer Service - who only gave me the washing instructions from the White Company website that I'd already followed )to voice my opinion of the so-called 'easy-care' range. “Dont bother complaining to Chris Rucker!!”

I purchased a double duvet cover and pillowcases from the White Company for my daughters bedroom. The cover had 2 buttons missing and one cracked in half. Given I have had to complain to the White Company before and received such poor customer care they sent me 50.00 worth of vouchers to apologise for such a shabby service. Totally agree - have complained about the 'easy-care range, but only got a copy of their washing instructions from the website (which of course I'd already followed) and told it might get better with use. And it was called 'easy care'. Maybe 'easy care' means crinkled? Maybe this is acceptable in 2014?

No offer of refund, replacement. I shall go to John Lewis or any other reputable store when I can afford to splash out on new guest room bedding - wish I hadn't fallen for the glitzy upmarket image.

“Stealing from my credit card”

I made an order online from the web site and the next day at about 14 hours after their first withdraw ,I was shocked that they withdrew extra GBP 18.20 from the same credit card I used ,without any explanation. “Remains to be seen”

Unlike other reviewers, I have always got through to their Customer Services immediately. However, I find the results poorly lacking. Emails are responded to after days, promises are made on calls but never followed through. Even the complaint email they offer on the website is a black hole. “Misleading customer services”

I am living in the USA, On a trip to the UK last week I ordered some trousers from a UK store, I was informed that The White Company is now in the USA so if I needed to return my order I could do that to the USA. My trousers are a really bad fit so I wish to return them. After calling the supposedly US Customer Services, (clearly based in the UK) I was informed that I had to pay international postage charges. “Online Customer Service very poor -won't buy from them...”

Very tricky people - be careful. It promised .... "Just in time for Christmas... for standard delivery, order by 19 December” so I ordered a mirror on the 10th. “Totally misled about my Christmas order”

“Outstanding Bad service”

I bought cashmere bed socks for my 82 year old mother at Christmas. In January 2013 she emailed to say they had holes in heel after 16 nights of use. It had taken until today and endless emails and telephone conversations to have this resolved. They refuse to replace these socks having said they have problems with customers retuning bedsocks. I have just seen your review. I experienced the exact same thing last summer with the Hemple bedspread. Pilled terribly and looked awful. They also told me it is to be expected! After weeks of phone calls and emails arguing my case they agreed to refund me the cost of one of the bedspreads. Luckily I still had my receipt. I spoke to a lady who was trying her best to be helpful but obviously the decision was not up to her. Most terrible customer service. I just wish people would know how this company treats its customers before they purchase anything from this store.
