Is it acceptable to have to remove a plynth to get your fitted washing machine out?? I think not. Fitter seems to think it's ok!! Surely the idea is to push it in and out, took 3 people to get it all back. Would they want to do this every time there's is a problem with machine? “De-lamination and guarantee rubbish”

I had my kitchen fitted Sept 2013 with a 5 yr guarantee. In 2014 2 doors started to de-laminate. Reported and two new doors sent out, original fitter refitted the doors. Doors were taken away for investigation - nothing heard again. In 2015 another 2 doors started to de-laminate. Reported and the original kitchen designer arrived to inspect. Definitely de-lamination. “Wickes Kitchens - Cricklewood - Think Twice!”

I am absolutely shocked with the service I have got from start to end of my dream purchase costing over 12k. All my complaints to customer services, were given to the store manager to resolve who on many occasions verbally told me that I would be compensated for all my issues, and that head office were working on this. “Delivery problems ongoing”

Still waiting for a 300 MM. base unit to complete the kitchen started on 21 st June very difficult getting through to customer services store staff not available on many occasions was even told the share house wouldn't,t talk to them directly so given a number to contact myself which was the wrong number very fed up wouldn't,t recommend wickes to anyone… Read Full Review

“JUST DON'T ”

Issues:- 1-Fitting took 3.5 weeks instead of 4 days as planned due to missing parts and staff sickness 2- Floating light up shelves,sealed units, come filled with dirt, and will not hang correctly if you put anything heavier than one cup on each, they will come clean off the wall 3 - Parts and fixings missing which delayed fitting 4 - £700 cooker fitted, and then doesn't work! Kitchen was planned by in store planner after a home visit and as surveyed by kitchen fitting company. Cooker was measured as 60cm when it is 50cm wide hence a gap either side . Not possible to duct extractor through wall although we were told at planning stage no problem. The kitchen we had installed in April looks ok. The offer was half price. We basically have the eight cupboards as seen in the showroom. Its one side of the kitchen. Half price..... our final bill was £6,000. A £3,000 kitchen. The 6k includes fitting and tiling and some electric box. I keep looking at this kitchen.... its a great improvement on what it replaced, but, its deception. “Could be a lot better for the price”

This is the 4th kitchen I have installed over the last 20 years - this time in an old cottage with walls way out of true. Initial issues over delivery (lorry broke down, then lost the order etc). Instructions reasonable (but some written English might be good) Laminate chipping to some carcase parts (badly sawn edges, tendency for carcases to distort. “loved my kitchen but !!”

My kitchen was fitted about 5 years ago everything went well , we organised our own fitter the job was great , looks good what more can I say except that the inner carcase is poor quality 5 years down the line and they are starting to peel at the edged and chip very easily, I do feel that they should be a better quality they might be hidden behind doors etc but each time I go into a cupboard and see this im not happy , I feel that they should last longer, the initial experience was good but… Read Full Review

The Wickes kitchen units arrived and an independant fitter organised, on checking the units it was found that several side panels were missing I telephoned Wickes customer service and arranged for the panels to be forwarded and to be fair they did arrive a couple of days later, the installation began but then it was found that the worktop had damage to it and so another phone call was made and another sent out. What have the Finnish got to with it? They are a very nice race normally. And getting a tiller to do your tiling is a bad move on your behailf

SEVEN WEEKS to fit a kitchen which last time took THREE DAYS. Even then doors were not fitted correctly. Despite numerous requests, there was never quality review or anyone to correct reported prolems £14,700 for a kitchen which could have been sourced from Howdens for £3,200. “Don't go to wicks for your fitted kitchen, they do not...”

Don't go to wicks for your fitted kitchen, they do not have a clue. They made a hole from the kitchen to lounge when preparing my daughters kitchen, did not know one electric wire from another. They promise to compensate for damage, give a little up front then nothing. I think wicks have a disgusting customer service and should not be installing kitchens, they made such a mess weeks without water, heating with two small children, I can't believe they can get away with it… Read Full Review

I totally feel your pain. Bunch of absolute jokers . I'm in the building trade and begrudgingly had these muppets to fit my kitchen at the request of my now ex girlfriend . The idiot who 'fitted' it didn't have a clue , then the oak doors started splitting. They said they were giving me nothing till I told them I'd rip it out and throw it on the front ...... Then hey presto they gave me £3000 back...... Truly the worst decision I have ever made

“Truly awful fitting service”

OK. I'll start with the positives. Units look fantastic and the quality is pretty good to be fair.That's it. Our 'fitting team' were just not great. The main guy never even turned up in the first week and it was all left to his labourer. He worked non stop and we have to give credit where due but, he wasn't a fully experienced fitter. We fully understand how you feel we are going through the same experience
We are having walls replastered and new worktops and sink unit
They even boxed our gas boiler in so now we can't get it serviced untitled we take wall cupboards of wall
I would not let Wickes pump a tyre up on my mans wheel barrow
We have had most of our money back
So we are starting again ourselves

“Expect paying up front”

We had a reasonable quote from Wickes but when we asked about a payment schedule they wanted paying all up front. All advice given is to pay in stages. Deposit, delivery and final payment on satisfaction with the work. The only advice was to use the interest free payment. Which still means Wickes get paid up front. We chose the Glencoe High Gloss Finish, in Cream, the same as the one on display in Oldham. We have an average sized kitchen with a small Utility room (which was a small cluttered room before), we took the advice from the Design Consultant, and I have to say I'm glad we did, he had some brilliant suggestions, and very good taste.
