“Wickes kitchen nightmare”

Such a terrible experience using Wickes to install my kitchen. I would urge anyone to stay away from them. Terrible quality fitting. It took 4 visits and 2 fitters. Under cabinet lighting taped up with masking tape, poor cutting, units damaged, fridge freezer plumbed incorrectly, diffferent colour grouting and poor grouting and the list goes on. “Awful Service”

Awful service from start to finish. 5 weeks after the job which was meant to last 5 days - not finished. Kitchen installer highly unprofessional. Often didnt turn up after I had taken the day off work, and when he came left after a few hours. Wrong items delivered repeatedly. I reported the fitter to HMRC fraud team after he tried to charge 20% extra to pay by bank transfer (he isn't VAT registered, of course) - this is 'company procedure' he says. “Terrible tile service”

Terrible customer service. I wss ping pongd from customer service to store then delivery team. Told I would get call back and wasn't. All because I was sent tiles from different batch codes and i was trying to get all tiles the same. Eventually got tiles sent 5 days later and incurred additional costs as I wanted to make sure my builders don't take on other projects and leave me without a toilet and bath tub. “Poor Customer Service”

Been waiting over a month for remedial work to shoddy workmanship by Wickes fitters. Some boxes have been delivered, but no communication from Wickes as to their intentions. Also charged twice for fitting of sink and taps. Fitter assured us that this was specialist work and not included in the original fitting costs, although Wickes own paperwork indicates otherwise. We ordered a kitchen in the begining of the year, it was surpose to be fitted in April, the fitter refused to do the job,wasn't told why. Another fitter came to see us but couldn't start until July, But when the kitchen arrived we had a damaged work top so had to wait another week for that , 5 times the work top had to be replaced through being damaged.Then a door was damaged. We have had our kitchen fitted by wickes only a few weeks ago, we thought that a well known firm like this it would be great. The kitchen does look nice but !!!!! The fitter managed to scratch the work top, the door for the dishwasher could not be opened properly as it hit the other door , my husband had to take the door handles to work and get them made smaller. “Delivery service a nightmare.”

Just endured the fiasco of Wickes delivery. Failed first delivery of my kitchen as they couldn't get the lorry up my road, which is fair enough, these things happen, but then found out they were supposed to have put it on smaller van. A Wickes kitchen never again. We purchased and had an off the shelf kitchen designed to plan it was to be installed by an independent subcontracted kitchen fitter. However, on the day of installation we found out that it was impossible to fit the kitchen as planned, as you cannot put a square peg into a round hole. “Useless Ignorant Rubbish”

From design stage to delivery, complete let down. Ignorant staff, including customer services who talk rubbish more than listening to the customer. Two people have wasted all day, awaiting delivery only to be told at the end of the day, that delivery won't happen today. “Two year nightmare”

From failed delivery, poor installation, failing to leave enough room for white goods, incorrectly plumbing in washing machine, tiling that resembled something a child could do, problems that go on and one that they are now refusing to rectify. Cabinets supports are splitting. Triton won't fix shower because it was never been plumbed in properly ( three attempts by different Wickes fitters have only resulted in botched jobs and still not resolved) The list is endless… Read Full Review

I am delighted with my new kitchen from Wickes. Having tried several companies, the designer at the Glasgow store produced an excellent plan which was ideal for my kitchen. The installation team were first class and nothing was too much trouble for them - they even worked weekends to get the job finished.The supervisor even sourced the ideal sink for me when I discovered the one I had intended to use was too large. Is it acceptable to have to remove a plynth to get your fitted washing machine out?? I think not. Fitter seems to think it's ok!! Surely the idea is to push it in and out, took 3 people to get it all back. Would they want to do this every time there's is a problem with machine? You clearly have no concept of fitted kitchens!!! Of course the plinth goes in front of the washing machine and has to be removed if the washer comes out! Also they are always tight when fitted and usually it takes two at least to help pull back the fill and waste pipes!
You should learn a little before you comment! Stick you your own trade! Also know, I'm not a kitchen fitter so my comment is un biased.

“De-lamination and guarantee rubbish”

I had my kitchen fitted Sept 2013 with a 5 yr guarantee. In 2014 2 doors started to de-laminate. Reported and two new doors sent out, original fitter refitted the doors. Doors were taken away for investigation - nothing heard again. In 2015 another 2 doors started to de-laminate. Reported and the original kitchen designer arrived to inspect. Definitely de-lamination. “Wickes Kitchens - Cricklewood - Think Twice!”

I am absolutely shocked with the service I have got from start to end of my dream purchase costing over 12k. All my complaints to customer services, were given to the store manager to resolve who on many occasions verbally told me that I would be compensated for all my issues, and that head office were working on this.
