    this is a Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster. i mean, its true that the 4 positions switch combined with the push pull can provide some different sounds, but if you buy a tele, it's for the tele sound, not for sounding like a gibson. im more impressed by the 'natural' sound of that axe than by its swiss army knife abilities. the push pull button is a bonus i wouldn't be too sorry if it has been forgotten. great tele, amazing price. mine is vintage blonde. terrific look. very confortable neck

    Overall, a fantastic guitar. Own a vintage SG, Guild semi, 74 Tele Custom etc, and this is the one I'm using all the time. 4 way selector switch gives you bridge, both parallel, neck, both series (sounds like a humbucker!), and the phase switch puts the mix positions, er, out of phase, which adds up to six very different and all useable sounds, blues, jazz, country, funk, reggae, rock, whatever I want, it does it.     Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster has lots of different settings and sounds. It has a very nice tele twang but you just don't get the oommpph you would get with a Tele 72. However, it's too confusing, if you want a Fender with a lot of sounds, by a Fender Jaguar.
