“Very poor product”

Very disappointed with this model. Lid doesn't fit bowl so food gets trapped between. Graters a joke, so poorly designed that half the food isn't grated. Cannot even chop correctly, something as simple as making breadcrumbs cannot be achieved… Read Full Review

“It was good while it lasted!”

The machine came with a great range of attachments - I especially liked the liquidiser. But the quality is very poor. My machine lasted until it was just out of guarantee, when the base unit stopped working. It appears that the motor has worn out. I have mainly used the machine for making soups once or twice a month (which it did well). I had hoped that by buying a more expensive brand that it would be a long-term investment. I had the same kind of issue - the locking mechanism for the main bowl broke 2 weeks after the year guarantee. I have only used this intermittently. I have contacted Kenwood but no response yet. I understand that, whilst the 'official' guarantee may have expired, under the Sale of Goods act, one can expect a product to last a reasonable time and be of satisfactory quality. This goes beyond the guarantee and can be up to six years and does fall under the seller's or manufacturer's obligations to put right. The sellers (Amazon) are shirking from this responsibility but I am pursuing it.

Apparently poor design, very weak plastic parts. Mine did not last 6 months before the whisk, juicer, and finally the lock mechanism broke and it will not even start now! parts were replaced by Kenwood under guarantee but they just broke again… Read Full Review

It is a shame that it seems that Kenwood haven't given more thought to the functionality of the FP920. The grating/slicing disks are positioned so far beneath the bottom of the feed chute that the last quarter of anything you attempt to process is dragged through the resulting gap and hurled into he bowl in a lump. The main drive spindle is a very loose fit and constantly falls out when removing the bowl. There is no form of storage for the implements that come with the unit. The design is… Read Full Review
