    Good Points: Buying this book made me think about important issues but in a way which was lightened by the author's gentle humour.The author has researched widely and, although the book is packed with relevant and helpful information, this never becomes overwhelming thanks to the inspired layout of the pages. The information, broken up in decorative boxes, highlights and focuses the attention on issues raised in each chapter. I liked especially the inclusion of the section entitled 'The Responsible Traveller's Little Green Address Book'. Really practical and useful.


    General comments: Rhiannon Batten's, Higher Ground is packed with useful and practical information for the 'green' traveller without being 'holier than thou'. Buying this book made me think about important issues, but in a way which was lightened by the author's gentle humour. The author has researched widely and explained clearly some complicated issues with helpful recommendations. A good reference book for student and traveller alike.
