Bad Points: the last 4 tracks
General comments: The first 7 tracks of Oasis, Dig Out Your Soul make this a really great album, the rest spoil it. Its a shame that Noel didn ' t finish the job off the way I ' d liked, but still I love it, well most of it anyway.

Definitely Maybe defined a generation, we have all, including Oasis themselves been hoping the band could repeat this. However unlikely that may be. MG rode the wave of its predecessor and I am sure if released tomorrow would not be held in the same regard. Ironically when we have all given up hope they release their best collection of songs since that debut. It will never be Definitely Maybe, but would we expect or want it to be? In the last 14 years we have all moved on, finally, so have Oasis ...- Read Jon79's review (114 words)

I am extremely pleased to say that the new album from the boys from Manchester is nothing short of genius. I think not many would disagree that it is probably their best album since Morning Glory. Even with the exploration of new 60's melodies, it stil sounds new and fresh, with Liam's voice sending chills down your spine as ever, but who was ever in any doubt that he wouldn't. He is the true essence of the band and this album, adding an excellent contribution through "Im Outta Time" which is re ...- Read rave's review (112 words)

Oasis are finally back! Previous album was simply not good enough. But this is indeed the sound Oasis has to make: best album after MG, definitely!- Read Guest's review (38 words)

Good comeback from the best band in the world, but a little disappointed that there isn't any real anthems but its good old fashioned rock n roll but dont think its as good as Kings Of Leon's new one which to a huge Gallagher fan is a bit disappointing.

Overall a great album. The more I listen to it, the better it gets. Some great songs on it. New material will always be compared to the Definitly Maybe and (What's The Story) Morning Glory era, which is slightly unfair. Times change and so have Oasis.
Can't wait to hear some of these new songs live!- Read Guest's review (83 words)

Dig Out Your Soul needs a good 3 or 4 listens before really making your mind up. I feel this is their best album since what's the story... some may argue that wouldn't have been too diffcult but seriously I had my doubts but some of the tracks on this album, the likes of 'The Turning', 'Falling Down' and To' Be Where's there's life' are superb records. Go and buy it, you won't be disappointed.- Read MyReview123's review (145 words)

Another solid effort from the band, I'd probably put it on a par with "Don't Believe The Truth". It's definitely a change of style for the lads, which is a positive point.- Read Guest's review (44 words)

Great album, their best since MG, their first true listening album, a step forwards from Don't Believe The Truth in the stylings of Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants. Best album of the year. A lot of these tracks will be good live I think. It's really refreshing to hear a true rock 'n' roll album.- Read checkwithmemum's review (122 words)

This album has a different sound than other oasis albums. Bag It Up, Waiting for the Rapture, Get Off Your High Horse Lady, I'm Outta Time, and Soldier On are my favorite tracks. To Be Where There's Life is my least favorite track on here. Great Oasis album. Better than the last.- Read Guest's review (52 words)

This is for the Critics that say Oasis only have one type of sound! This album hits hard from the beggining to end. From Bluesy songs, good straight out rock songs, and great pop ballad's. Oasis has come on to dominate the rock scene again! One of the Best Rock album's of the year! Coldplay better watch out. Oasis are back in form.- Read JRB26's review (63 words)

A progressive, brave record from a band with few surprises left. Strong throughout for the most part, this is the best Oasis album since 1995. It's not very 'single' heavy, but substituting the anthems for songs is the best thing they could have done.

It's a massive improvement from the last couple of albums. Solider On, Bag it Up, I'm Outa Time and The Shock of the Lightening are standouts for me. It's about time they got over their own legacy and progressed.- Read Guest's review (39 words)

A great overall album which thumps it way from start to finish with a couple of pleasant peaks in between. They'll never do wrong in my eyes and if the Oasis-haters throw criticism at this album I really don't know what the band are supposed to do.
PS. If I have one real criticism it's got to be Liam's mushroom 'do. Don't get it at all! Get them dingers hanging down again!!- Read miknew77's review (119 words)
