    The facilities at Martello Beach Holiday Park for the tents and tourers are dirty and neglected. The toilet and shower blocks need to be knocked down - they are so old and dirty.
    The club house or whatever it is called is too small and the booking of sessions in the very small pool is crazy (and it is cold!)
    All in all don't go there unless you have to.

    The touring facilities on Martello Beach Holiday Park were the worst I have ever experienced in 20 years of camping.
    The toilet block is inadequate for the amount of pitches and was not cleaned regularly.
    There is a smoke alarm in the shower block that has been de activated.
    There are only 2 washing up sinks for the whole touring site.
    There are only 3 wash basins in the womens toilets.
    There are electrical sockets placed very near the wash basins.

    I feel compelled to write this review based on our stay at Martello Beach resort. We arrived in Clacton and had to drive what I can only describe as a warzone. The park itself, well what a dissappointment. The pool was small and the whole area dirty. We used the camping facilites and again very dissappointing.     Yep,just like the other review,we didn't like this particular Martello Beach Holiday Park resort at all. Coming up to the resort,you would drive pass an ikea-flat pack-houses look alike. Really really disheartening scene. The reception office was small altho the staff were very friendly. Swimming pool is very small altho was kept warm (don't be fooled by the website picture! it really is small). The park itself is really tatty and tacky, not really kept well at all.     I'm not one for writing reviews, however, this park was such a disappointment, I had to write one. We stayed at the Park Resorts, Martello Beach Holiday Park, Essex for 4 days in Easter hols 2009. First impression was that the caravan was not cleaned to the standard that we got in Haven and Park Dean. There was dust in the cupboards and bathroom, dirty oven and unhoovered under the beds.
