Good Points: The comments on business travel are very powerful. I feel some of the statements like, "making travel an adventure will lighten your load". Since I myself am a business traveller, I can feel some of these things.
Prewire everything is an excellent point. Though we have been doing many many business presentations ourselves, we had never thought about this point. However, the negative impact of not prewiring the presentations have been felt on several occasions.
Surviving at McKinsey is a very practical section in this book. Lot of things can be immediately applied.
Professional in the consulting arena can immediately apply the thought provoking tips mentioned in the chapter, "Conducting interviews".
I always like a book which doesn't require the reader to start the book sequentially. This book is of such variety, where you can read the book from anywhere from the middle.

Bad Points: The ACME Widget corporation example is being used in several places in the book. This is painfully boring. I didn't know what a widget is!?

General comments: This is a very good book.

Lots of points discussed in the McKinsey Way: Using the Techniques of the World's Top Strategic Consultants to Help You and Your Business book by Etan Rasiel can be readily applied. For example, we were able to use the interviewing technique immediately.

Loads of indirect (and direct) self-aggrandizement and obvious methods for hypothesis generation, interaction, and even traveling are suppose to pass for insight in this vapid manifesto. We know consultants are smart, but so are many other professionals, among others, and the reader doesn't need to be bonked over the head repeatedly with in ...
