    Bad Points: Review AEG / Electrolux Santo Fridge-Freezer CombinationIn May 2005, I purchased an AEG Santo 75350 KG fridge freezer. This was a top of the market product as reflected in the price'906 ( GB Pounds 725 / US $ 1,415 ). AEG and Zanussi are brand names of the Electrolux multinational firm, based in Sweden. In January 2008, the fridge section failed and eventually the unit was sent to the Electrolux depot in Vienna for repair and testing. Although we had requested an in depth check, the Santo failed again in identical fashion in May 2008. Having lost confidence in the product and to avoid more call out charges and inconvenience, I scrapped the Santo and bought a replacement from Whirlpool / Bauknecht. The new fridge is not as sophisticated as the Santo, but it ' s cheaper, and it works.The CEO of Electrolux, Mr Marcus Wallenberg, referred my correspondence to his Vienna colleagues and eventually a form of compensation appeared to be on offer. Unfortunately, Electrolux Sweden refused to ratify any agreement leaving the issue in total deadlock.


    General comments: You may wish to consider the quality of Electrolux products, and the competence of their customer service before you buy anything from them.A disappointing and depressing experience !
