Visited Carshop Swindon and had mixed results. Found the Car we wanted and paid deposit to have car brought to Swindon. Dealt with chap called Wayne who was fantastic! Took us for two test drives and went well above and beyond for us, he was a credit to the company. Then came the downhill bit. Car arrived, we went to look at it and test drove the car. As a customer, I generally like to take my time to purchase and simply browse whats on offer first before I ask for assistance. However, on arrival at CarShop I was harrassed and badgered for my personal details, even after asking the assistant to leave me alone. I'd like to go to a dealer a few times to look the cars over... I was greeted by a salesman call shane who said he is from bristol. He wouldn't let me test drive any cars until I put a £200 deposit on a car. All I was allowed to do was look at it, not even start the engine. Also he would continuously go back to a room at the back just to find what else they had in stock. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a car dealership. I think that the staff need to be trained again. (read more)

I went to carshop because they had the car that I wanted. The salesmen were very good, friendly and not pushy, most of the front shop staff were good and generally not like ordinary car salesman. After a test drive I was left with the car for as long as I wanted, within reason off course. The back room staff were not quite as good, internal valeting did not include cleaning out the ash tray or some ash marks on the seats. It looked like it had been done very quickly. Happy with my car, but getting it took best part of the day. Made an appointment to see my car, as it had to come from a Yorkshire branch, the sales man was 1.5hrs late. While i waited, a dressed ponce tried to fob me off and made it sound like I was in the wrong for getting there early. When I got to see my car I was happy. I felt the car was fairly priced and therefore travelled from poole to Swindon to collect car using a transport vehicle as car wasn't taxed. Not happy with the long wait from arrival to actually driving the car away. I was passed between several people who all seemed to have their own task mainly trying to sell me extras. We just bought a car from CarShop Swindon and generally the service was good. We had 2 tests drive with a good guy - Mark I think - who was very helpful. The other most helpful person was one of the last guys I saw who dealt the the paperwork and handed over the keys. We dealt with numerous other people - they seem to pass you around a lot. poor after sale service.once they had the money all promises of minor faults on car i bought to be put right were not carried out.they expected me to bring the car back at a later date at their convenience.so frustrating.typical of most car sales though.paid £13000 for a ford galaxy.needed all brakes done and 4 new tyres straight away.plus several minor repairs that were supposed to be done before pick up day.what a service for a disabled person to recieve.
