    Good Points: This was our first visit to this site and it was outstanding! We were camping with friends who pitched next to us, between us we had 8 children aged between 2yrs and 8yrs. The pools were a big hit with the children, all off them enjoyed the water slide.(children under the age of 6 had to be on an adults lap) The kids also loved the crazy golf, the two outdoor play areas, the indoor soft play area, the peddle boats on the lake, the day time and evening entertainment with Sammy the seahorse and friends, the amusement arcade, the bowling, the table tennis, the pool tables and the nature trail around the lake. What can I say, other than we never left the site.The pitches were all clean and well spaced out. The toilet and shower blocks were modern and clean. A security guard walked around the site at night, politely asking any noisy chatters to keep it down, when it got really late.There was a shop on site that stocked everything we needed.


    Bad Points: We were pitched right at the back of the camping area and there was a little road noise, not enough to bother us though. If you are a light sleeper, it might be a good idea to ask to be pitched away from this area.On the last day, when it was time to pack up, we had to leave our pitch by 10a.m. This was fine, but we had hoped to park up the car and let the kids have one last splash in the pool for an hour or so. The staff told us we were unable to do this and said after our check out time we couldn't stay on the site. They were very polite about it, but we would have liked to stay a bit longer.


    General comments: Overall Hoburne is fantastic! If you have kids you will be very happy campers, when you stay here. It is very good value for money, our 5 day break in the 6 weeks holidays cost only 128 pounds. The cost of the holiday included our electric pitch for up to 6 people, and entrance to the pools and entertainment.
