when we arrived at torbay we had expected it to be quite a bad standerd, but i was wrong the place was fantastic the staff were excelent and the caravans were excelent, we had gone for a silver (c) caravan it was as clean as a wistle the entertainment was a bit childish like bingo and singing when when it got later in the night it was fantastic the swimming pools were of great standered and cleaned every morning. the resturant as a bit pricy but the beach hut cafe was good value and good... Our Family have visited the Hoburne Park at Christchurch twice and were greatly impressed with it.So much so we decided to visit Hoburne Torbay.We expected the same high quality we experienced at Hoburne Christchurch.We were sadly very disappointed.So much so we left a day early. The caravans unlike at Hoburne Christchurch, were placed much nearer together therefore making privacy virtually impossible.Our caravan was next to a guy and his Family who was constantly on his mobile,outside our... e been going here for the last 8 years but found it has gone downhill this year,adult entertainment is rubbish,nothing to do during the day(unlike previous years)went into bar on numerous occasions during the day only to find it didnt open untill 1pm which when the sun is shineing you can sit on the balcony haveing a relaxing drink and take in the veiws also the bayview resturant/bar didnt open untill 5pm and this was always open during the day.we have made friends with many people over the... while park was clean and caravan were lovely , the beds were really uncomfortable . the entertainment for kids was rubbish my 5 year old spent whole holiday in soft play area as there was nothing else for her to do ... we normally go to haven where the kids entertainment is non stop through out the day and we cant get my 5 yr old daughter off the dance floor or the stage.. will never be going back as restuarant and take aways closed through oot the day though advertised as open on the actual... WE JUST COME BACK FROM HERE EARLY AS I HAVE A 5 MONTH OLD BABY AND THE CENTRAL HEATING IN A PLATINUM CARAVAN AT £700 FORHE WEEK WAS FAULTY AND THE HOT WATER DIDNT LAST TO HAVE A SHOWER I STILL HAD CONDITIONER IN MY HAIR AND COULDNT RINSE AS THE WATER WENT COLD ANYONE NO HOW TO COMPLAIN AS I WANT COMPENSATION MY CHILDREN ARE SO UPSET WE LEFT 4 DAYS EARLY

been going here for 8 years and have to say this year its gone down hill,adult entertainment was rubbish,went to bar in aftenoon on numerous occasions to find it didnt ooen untill 1pm,bayveiw/resturant dinner didnt open untill 5pm,nothing happening during the daytime,we have made friends with people who like us come here at the same time for their holidays(1st week of july)and all say the they wont be returning,shame as its a lovely site in a great location

We have just returned from Hoburne Torbay and have had a fantastic time.Our caravan was really clean,normally when we go to a caravan park i have to clean it properly before we unpack but not here.Pools were clean with lifeguards indoors and out.Our girls are 12 and loved the fact they could go around the park on their own.We had peace of mind with the security on site.Clubhouse is small but we always managed to get a table even when we went in at 8.30,entertainment was good especially when... This camp site was somewhat disappointing to me and my family. The entertainment venue was far too small to accomadate for the amount of guests on the camp site during the busy summer holiday period, therefore you had to arrive at the entertainment venue at 5.30pm to get a seat (especially as we are a large family) which made the day very rushed to get dinner etc. Not much to do during the day especially as it rained for the majority or our stay and there was minimal activities for children... First time we had been to this site have previously been to John Fowler s we were pleasantly suprised we booked through a seperate holiday company and had to pay for bedding and wi fi so would recommend looking into booking straight through Hobourne.All staff were friendly and helpful the site offered enough to do during in the day if you didnt want to leave the site the walk to the beach is only about 10 to 15 mins and a nice walk.The presence of security guards... great park, great staff. BIG outdoor pool and bigger indoor pool. My kids loved every minute of our two weeks and they didn't want to come home!

Two weeks worked out at just under £900 amazing value given the facilities on site.

If you've got your own laptop Wifi is free.

Kids clubs, evening entertainment - everything to suit everyone!

It is a great capsite, fun and enjoyable for all ages, i would recomend this site to a wide range of people it is a great place to get away for the whole of the family. The only problem i discovered was, once being there i did not want to leave and go back home. The facilities aviable are brilliant and you never seem to become bored, i believe it is brilliant how afternoon clubs and activities are avilable for children, (such as treasure hunts etc.)I believe the entertainment does end... we have been to hoburne torbay for the last 6 years now andwe would not think of goin anywhere else it is a good clean park all the staff are very friendly and there is so much to do on the park for children and adults the caravans are clean the entertainment is first class last year we had a big family holiday there and everyone enjoyed it so much they have gone back this year we wiil be down there in august to celabrate my sons 18th at the park it is very good value for money you have got... The best holiday park we have ever been to! The children love the place and we have fallen in love with Paignton. Fantastic value for money and the entertainment is second to none. A week never seems like long enough as there is so much to do in and around the park. Can't wait for our next holiday there this year! (read more)

VERY disappointing holiday. A shame because i mainly booked the holiday because of the Free wifi (Which was not free! £5 per hour, £10 per day, £15 for 3 days or £25 a week.) My partner and I are very reliant on the Internet and it is essential that we go on daily due to our lifestyles!
Bed was unbearable! So uncomfortable, all the internal wires/springs digging into my back. Couldn't sleep so in the end I bought a memory foam mattress topper! NOT what i wanted to be buying on a... (read more)

Been to the Hoburne, Torbay site 3 times in the last 5 years. Love the location/area/caravans/on site facilites/entertainment good.

The only change now is it isnt a family site any longer, groups of rowdy young people are being allowed to stay there hence night time problems/rowdiness/swearing, I could go on. The childrens playground is a drinking den after 9 Pm and security dont seem to notice.

There was trouble 4 out of 7 nights we were there with security having to throw youths off... (read more)

just this reveiw i know it a bit late but i was on the camp for two weeks on those dates and didnt see any trouble in either club house or on the site and our caravan was very close to club house,i think the reviewer is getting confused with the travellers/gypsyes who camp on the sports pitchs nearby and try and use the facilitys of the camp

Overall Hoburne, Torbay, was a very good and enjoyable holiday and i would happily return to this campsite another time.The bad points that i have listed are not deadly serious and could easily be worked around they could be improved but don't let any of this stop you.
I had a unbelievably enjoable time and will recomend this campsite to all.
Hope you go and see for yourself.you will not be let down.

Caravan at Hoburne was nice and clean on arrival, though it stank terribly of stale smoke. Take an anti-tobacco candle/spray with you just in case. Check-in was prompt. Children's' outdoor playground is in very good condition. Showbar seems to have had a refurbishment as well - new seat covers, etc. All staff were helpful and friendly (eg. we needed a new vacuum cleaner bag which was delivered promptly).
