Went to Bude Holiday Park on a sun holiday. Never again we had upgraded but seemed to have one of the oldest caravans around. The toilet seat was broke the bedroom light would not go off and there was 2 cracked glasses in the cupboard. Also the net curtains were full of mould and the shower taps were full of green mould. The reception staff had an attitude and not very helpful although the bar staff were helpful and cheerful. The security person was also helpful as he tried to fix our light and told us that the caravan we were in was one to be replaced this winter. Why do they let the vans get in such a state and expect people to sleep in them. The web site looked a lot better than the actual place.

My friend and I went to this park for 5 days this week as part of the sun offer to walk more of the coastal path. The caravan was a bit tatty with old carpets and stained sofa. The previous occupants had left every single plate and bowl stacked unwashed in the cupboard and there was only a burnt saucepan and no frying pan! The man in reception apologised - "students over the weekend" and immediately brought us a brand new set plus free linen.
Site perfect for exploring coast though.Didnt use any ...- Read Guest's review (100 words)

well was meant to be in bude this weekend however we took one look at the caravan on friday and left bude as quick as we could. Theres a a bumper bad country lane leading to the camp, then theres just a field with 50 or so aluminium caranvans onsite. The rude receptionist arent helpful and there was no manager on site. when we got a key to caravan 131 it was a hell hole, dirty seats, filthy bathroom, curtians were filthy and were no bigger than a tea towel. It smelt like a family of alcoholics liv ...- Read Guest's review (192 words)

having lost out on a sun holiday for the park we paid full price, when we arrived the receptionist told us to go to the bar and book in she wasnt very polite but the girl behind the bar was but she said we would have to pay back in reception to which the receptionist got funny about, after taking the balance for the holiday she never showed us which caravan we had had to go to so i had to ask another woman, when we got in the caravan it stunk of stale cigarettes and must the seat covers were mingi ...- Read Guest's review (201 words)

I have been to this Bude Holiday Park twice both times in June and would certainly recommend it for value for money. I have paid more to camp in other sites for a basic pitch wuithout any amenities or entertainment, but to pay less than £8 per night for a camping pitch and have entertainment and a swimming pool included i thought was superb value. The walk from town is only about 20 mins along the scenic clifftop or along the roadside for the less mobile. Entertainment was varied catering ...- Read Guest's review (118 words)

Just come back from a sun 9.50 holiday. We went with some trepidation having read some bad reviews, but go with confidence, we had a lovely clean caravan very large for only 2 of us, cant fault it, dont know about club or anything as we are not into that sort of entertainment, just over a mile walk into Bude, which is a lovely town. beaches lovely. would def go again- Read Guest's review (69 words)

Bude Holiday Park itself was fairly quiet. The bar and cafe are nice, clean and tidy but we didnt really go in them that much. There is a shop and little amusement arcade and a play area for kids.
I wont complain about the caravan we stayed in as we did it though the Sun holidays and it only cost us about £50 but if i had payed the tarrif price of a Rio (basic caravan) I would not have been happy. It was very basic as expected but the settee covers were filthy, the shower was mouldy (eve ...- Read Guest's review (149 words)

I stayed at Cranstar's Bude Holiday Park on a 'Sun' Holiday and for what we paid for the holiday we were pleasantly surprised. We were given a resort caravan, there was nothing dirty or disappointing with it at all. Our only complaint was having 4 plates instead of 6 and a gentleman brought us up the extra plates straight away!! Yes, its a quiet park but exactly what we want from a holiday.- Read Guest's review (71 words)

I was invited to Bude holiday park with family and at last minute turned away my clients and set of on holiday, really looking forward to arriving I did not know what to expect, i have never been here before or stayed in a static caravan. When arriving I noticed the Bude sight was very dated the pictures on the internet must have been taken years previous when the sight first opened it was not what the sight is portrait on the internet. The caravan had not been cleaned or should I say had been c ...- Read Guest's review (442 words)

Normally I don't write on these things as you generally hear the moans and never the good things.
However this time I feel I must. We have been to Bude Holiday Park on several occasions now. Admittedly they do have problems sometimes when it rains etc but the staff are always straight on it to sort any problems out immediately.
I have to also point out that yes, the laundrette was closed on our last visit, but this was due to vandalism! The park can not be blamed for irresponsible little fools ...- Read Guest's review (152 words)

Having read some of the reviews on this and other sites after we had booked our 2 week summer holiday at bude holiday park I really didn't know what to expect and to be quite honest I wasn't looking forward to it. On arriving on the site, compared what we are used to, we weren't overly impressed. Our party consists of 2 adults, 2 children aged 11 & 8 and a dog. On arriving at our pitch after travelling all night we found it to be small and unorganised, however after the first day this turned out ...- Read ninjatimbo's review (580 words)

My family stayed for a week at Bude Holiday Park and we all had a wonderful time. This is the second holiday we have had at this park and yet again we were not disappointed.
Our caraven was a Riviera which is not the top grade we previously stayed in a Rio which was a bit too basic for me but fine as a base. The caravan was clean and the linen was fresh as well. If you compare the price of a holiday in a Haven Park to a Cranstar Park you will notice that Cranstar's Bude site offers great va ...- Read hewood29's review (277 words)

Well we have been to a lot of camp sites over the years and this year we tried the Bude area. Unfortunately for us we choose a bad week weather wise but having studied the forecast before coming we were prepared for it.
What we were not prepared for is the shambles of a caravan we were given. After spending 30minutes in reception just waiting for the keys as we had prepaid for the holiday we expected the caravan to be clean and tidy. It was neither.
It just looked as if the last holiday maker ...- Read Guest's review (228 words)

I stayed at Bude Holiday Park on the 3rd July through a 'Sun' holiday and was pleasantly suprised! The caravan we were given was clean, tidy and situated on a nice place in the park. The entertainment was better than last year and anyone visiting the park will not be disappointed. Staff are more than willing to help with anyone problems. We'll be going back next year.- Read Guest's review (67 words)

We went on a sun special to bude holiday park in early june and if i had to go again... i would and i would upgrade again but but would take the next upgrade up to get a bit more space.
the camp was clean with a nice clubhouse. We used it as a base to go out each day and had a thorouhly enjoyable time.
the pool whilst maybe needing a little updating was lovely and warm for an outdoor pool the kids loved it.
The van did get a little cold at night from the atlantic wind but we took some extra blan ...- Read bigalmedino's review (129 words)

Just arrived back from Bude holiday park a day early, When arrived at bude we were given the keys to our caravan which was dirty not been cleaned, and had a very bad smell, so we complained and the rude member of staff finally moved us to another caravan, which was not that much better, we were under the impression that they had an indoor pool but did'nt, there was no chairs or loungers by the outdoor pool for you to sit and watch your children as advertised on website, No tumble dryers working ...- Read Guest's review (120 words)

Being fairly easy going people we do know that problems can occur when running a business such as this Holiday Park.
However, having said that the number of "problems" which we experienced was totally unbelievable with bude.
I shall not go into specifics other than to say a large number of these problems could have easily been sorted before we were let into the static.
Sad to say they were not and we ended up with a holiday that was only spoilt by the poor quality of the Static and general rude ...- Read Guest's review (106 words)
