Good Points: Bookshelf size.
Bad Points: Style, outdated technology speakers.
General comments: I came across this immaculate pair of 632s in a girlfriends apartment and was immediately interested. They were connected to an Ok make mini system but the sound was very lacking in bass and the tone was quite awful.
After a couple of months, I was asked to sort out an improved system for her and these speakers were given to me along with the old mini-System.
As I have always been fond of Tannoy speakers I decided that I had to convince myself they were any good before I eBayed them.
Unfortunately , I failed. I tried them with a variety of amplifiers on numerous sources with quality cables and plugs, but could not even make them sound reasonable. The cone size on the driver unit is too small and never produces any reasonable bass that does not distort.
The tweeter does not go high enough without screeching. In view of the quality I decided to give them to the local charity shop as I could not sell them with any confidence.
