I fully endorse the other reviews on this page. Marilyn and Ian are both extremely friendly and knowledgable. I recently had my diamond engagement ring modified to incorporate two other stones. Although I was keen to get it done, I was also a little nervous as the original solitaire diamond was already lovely. I left it in Ian's very capable hands and the results were fantastic! My wife and I have used Ian King several times to melt old chains and rings (which we weren't wearing because they were old fashioned) and redesign them into rings and cuff links that we would wear. Every time the end result has been great. Highly recommended. (read more)

I designed a pendant and needed it made. I tried many jewellers, most quoting crazy prices, until I popped into Ian King's shop, which was handily close to one of my clients' head offices. Both Ian and Marilyn were extremely helpful and happy to make the pendant to my design specifications. The reviews here speak for themselves. This tiny shop is staffed by a wonderful husband and wife team with Ian usually tinkering away downstairs whilst his partner handles sales. They are friendly, eager to please but not remotely pushy. I purchased a necklace from their over 2 years ago and my girlfriend was so pleased with it that I have gone on to get her the matching earrings and to take her to meet Ian when we recently needed an engagement ring.

I was looking for a wedding ring to match my engagement ring. I wanted something different and most other jewelers could not provide a ring in my price range and style. We walked into Ian King and asked the same question we had asked many others and he said he could do it. The warm and friendly staff and attention to detail was excellent. Extremely helpful and friendly husband and wife team- so much better than going to a high street chain.
I had my Victorian engagement ring valued and adjusted so I could wear a wedding band next to it, and they couldn't have been more helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely be going back for any jewellery requirements in the future.

they provide fantastic service at very reasonable prices. they have both restored or amended old pieces for me as well as creating new ones. they are some of the highest quality of work and best service that I have found in the market.
I would recommend them to anyone and they are certainly 1000 times better than any of the High Street chains and much cheaper (and same quality) as the high end stores (Tiffany, Boodles).

After sourcing our own stone for my engagement ring, I trawled Hatton Garden and many other shops for the perfect setting, I passed Ian's shop on the way to work one morning, and all I can say is am so glad I did.
Some may say I am a very indecisive person, but Ian had such patience and flexibility.
I spotted the perfect setting, although it was outside my price range. Ian was able to tailor make the setting I wanted to suit my price range and mount the stone for me.

I have been in Bow Lane for 30 years, my office being a short distance away from Ian King's delightful jewelery shop.
I have just purchased a beautiful diamond half eternity ring for my wife. They were extremely attentive and it was a pleasure to do business with them.
I bought a hand-made leather box from Florence to house the ring and the jeweller most skillfully created an insert for it which sets the ring off perfectly.
I will certainly go back to Ian King again and would recommend him to...

Ian King, Bow Lane, London. Very concerned to ensure that I had a wedding ring that was comfortable, given that I wanted a band of diamonds within the wedding band that went all the way round. I was given probably half a dozen rings to borrow (after my husband-to-be had paid the full price for what we wanted!) to ensure the width of the band was just right, ditto the thickness of the band and also the inside diameter. Staff at Ian King, London were very nice, helpful, friendly polite staff. can not fault the service from them.
They made our wedding rings for us, held on to them until we were ready for them.
fantastic service, they even cleaned my engagement ring free of charge even though I did not buy it there.
