Not had this DVD player for more than three months, and during my son playing a Tom and Jerry DVD this morning our DVD player also made a loud popping sound and died a death. We too bought this DVD Player from an E-Buyer and will be taking this matter up with them. Its o.k having all these special features but they are pointless if the machine is nothing more than a bargain basement reject tarted up.

So I wanted to watch my DVD movies upscaled especially since my region 3 House of Flying Daggers won ' t work in my Playstation 3. I was also getting sick of burning disks all the time, so when I saw the Sumvisio ...

We have a 32inch Samsung HD ready LCD TV that is about two years old. This DVD upscales the picture from ordinary DVDs to the best picture quality that your television can support, so you should notice an improvement in the picture quality compared to a standard DVD player. Note that you MUST use an HDMI cable to benefit from this upscaling. I've seen reviews where people are connected by scart lead and say they can see the difference, if this is the case it's NOT because the picture has been up ...

Well, I have to say that this player is an absolute bargain. It's extremely versatile and decent build quality for the money. I have only had it a week, so we will see what the longevity is like, but it has a 12 month warranty.
I play mine through a Panasonic Viera 32" HD Ready LCD, using a Nyko HDMI cable. I have played a few Div X formatted movies on it and they are surprisingly good quality. You have to bear in mind that a Div X movie will have been compressed to about a 1/6th of it's normal ...
