I recently ran out of my favourite tea, Punjana, and as a stop gap bought this brand as it is advertized as "strong". It isn't,to my taste it is weak and (I know this will sound stupid) watery! I even tried 2 bags in my cup and it was still weak. Another weak "strong" tea is PG Tips The Strong One. (read more)

Having read about this tea in The Times earlier this week, I am very, very impressed with it. Good dark colour and a great taste. Not to be tried by those that like a lot of milk and simply 'dip' their tea-bag for a second! A shame it isn't linked with success ... (read more)

Can't agree more with the reviews - this is a real proper cup of strong tea and I'd recommend trying it. Only problem I have had is availability at Tesco. It seems to come and go so I have to stock up. Its also reasonably priced. Check it out. (read more)

Captain Scott's is a wonderful strong tea with a smooth refreshing taste. The blend is akin to Assam.

Thoroughly recommended both as method of quashing your thirst when you're spitting feathers and as a robust palate cleanser after a takeaway.
This has currently knocked Earl Grey off it's perch in our house.

Captain Scott's is a fully bodied brew, robust in strength yet smooth to the palette. I found great satisfaction in tasting a tea that those intrepid explorers took with them on their ill fated expedition to the South pole.
Absolutely delicious. Highly recommended tea for those of us who like to taste the tea flavour..not for dishwater drinkers!
