    UGG boots are a type of boot and not a brand. I looked up the website you bought your boots from, and although they are 'UGG' boots, they are not UGG Australia boots. This is the brand that you see the celebrities wearing. There is nothing wrong as such with buying different make UGGs, simply that you may find the quality is poor. The main companies you should look out for if you want good quality boots are UGG Australia or EMU. You should go into a shop and try these two boots on, because some people prefer one from the other. However, i would point out that a number of stores have decided not to sell UGG Australia anymore, as many people have worn the soles down incredibly quickly. UGG Australia pretty much refuse to offer refunds, and many company's have felt its too much hassle selling them, and consequently only sell EMU boots. They have been made by a hardened sole in order to combat this problem. Also, you should expect to pay £180+ for the classic tall UGG Australia boots, and about £130-£150 for the EMU boots (although if you go to this website, they are genuine and are selling for £100. They come from NZ- http://www.uggbootshop.co.uk/. You should buy the boot in your normal shoe size, and if you are a half size, buy the next size down. They are fantastic and worth the money. I have seen you've paid a fortune for these boots, and you should fight your corner. Look up the Sale of Goods Act-basically, they are legally obligated to replace them, or refund your money (id suggest you obtain a refund) as they are not fit for purpose. Argue it until you win, pay an extra £30 and get a fantastic boot by EMU (for reviews, check out amazon.co.uk). Its a disgrace that this is their response. It is unacceptable, and you should tell them just that. Stand your ground. You've paid a fortune for something you are unable to wear. Good luck. xx

    My UGGs are the Classic Short boot, in Chestnut
    Firstly I would like to point out that the only way you can be sure that you are getting a genuine pair of UGG Australia boots ( by deckers inc) is by buyiung from uggaustralia.com or one of the retailers listed on the website. Many of the boots you seem to be describing you have said are bought from other websites and so in turn for copy companies claiming to sell genuine ugg boots that are in fact of an incredibly poor quality, the real UGG Austr ...

    As a previous reviewer had said, the term 'ugg' is misleading. Ugg is not a brand but a type of boot and quality can vary from retailers. I have brought a EMU ugg boots for about £70 which I absolutely love, well made, very comfortable and warm. This are the ones with the hip buttons and ribbons. I loved them so much, I brought two pairs.

    Am I the only one with this problem? I bought a pair of genuine Uggs which, ok, I had worn quite a bit but a hole appeared just above my big toe on one boot ( I had had them about a year). On contacting the company I was told Ugg would not replace them. It was a problem that had happened a few times and Ugg had refused saying it was normal wear and tear. At that price!!     Ugg Boots are warm in the winter, not that hot in the summer, can wear anywhere, go with everything (just about). So comfy you'll never want to take them off.

    Well worth every penny.

    Its a bit confusing the whole "ugg" boot name.I bought a pair from Australia that were called ugg boots for £65 i thought i was getting a bargain, then when they came they were cheaply made and didnt look any better than the ones available in England for £10. Then i realised ugg boots are any sheepskin boot and that there is only one particular ugg bood brand that you will see the celebrities wear. Having bought 1 pair in tall chestnut and another in tall black for £130 each ...

    Ugg Boots are stylish to almost everyone (although I personally don't LOVE the look), warm, wear well. Would not personally spend the money again. I'm not saying they aren't worth it to most, but for the money I need boots that are safe to walk in. Warm, but not nearly as warm as I thought they would be. I am a Realtor and these things are not safe on the packed snow/ice. I have slipped numerous times and fallen twice. I will not wear them in that type of weather.

    Had the Ugg boots less than two weeks - waited over a month for delivery. The sole came away from the boot after wearing 4 times - www.uggbootshop.com.au - have not yet refunded or replaceed - have suggested I take them to a local shoe repairer. This has happened to them before and the customer had them repaired by themselves rather than send them back.

    Unbelieveable!!

    I'd recommend Ugg boots to people who don't like the cold lol and who like to feel snug. Always wear socks as your feet can get very dry. All in all, I am getting 2 new pairs this winter and yes they are worth the money.
