Very effective and easy to use. Looks very attractive and not deadly to use, if that makes sense...

“A dream to use on my underarms... now for the legs!”

★★★★★

written by 0Yahtzee0 on 15/05/2012

I had an old Philips Satin-Ice of some kind from when I was a teenager, which I barely used. It was incredibly noisy and really painful, even with the ice package and I didn't find it particularly economical. The Christmas just gone, Dad got one of these for me, and one for my mum. It comes with two epilation heads for legs (One with grooved stripes at the top and one with nobbly beads and soft spiked beads to massage the skin. The latter is my favourite and I could just roll it across my hand for ages XD), one for the underarms (which only leaves about the middle third of tweezers exposed, one for the face which is smaller still and a shaver head, foil and.... comb-type guard-thing, I suppose. It can be used wet or dry BUT YOU CAN'T WET-SHAVE. I learnt this the hard way on Boxing Day and was rather confused when the spring which the blades sat on broke. I wasn't disappointed, though (I'm not shaving if I can avoid it as I have very dark body hair and shaving just makes it worse, in my experience). I was a bit confused as to why the shaver gave out on me and then read the instructions, which do actually tell you not to wet-shave! Maybe I'll ask Braun about replacing razor head components, if I can be bothered. I tried using on my legs under the shower with lots of shower gel and ... *trying to restrain emotion* I was very impressed to say the least. It's really easy to keep hold of thanks to the comfortable shape and texture on its back and in the middle of the on-off dial. When I epilate round about my outer ankles, I sometimes get an unpleasant sensation along a nerve round there which feels like an electric shock. [Does anyone else, or am I just crazily sensitive round there?]. However, I either didn't get one at all, or barely felt it. That impressed me more even than the handy light and how many hairs it managed to get at a time. _:_:_ Inspired by a Bubzbeauty video on Youtube, I decided to try epilating my underarms one day in January. I did it under the shower and tried with the face head and I found it was less painful to use the underarm head as it could grab more hairs at a time and get it over and done with a bit quicker. The pain was such that I was shaking a bit afterwards and had to stop and start a couple of times, but the results were the best I'd ever had from defuzzing: Better even than waxing. Now I use it at least once a week on my pits under the shower, no problem. It might not grab every single one of them every single time, but the results are that good I'm delighted. I'm sure it would be just as good on my legs, but I've found it takes too long under the shower and that I have to recharge it midway through a calf/somewhere just above a knee [on a very brave day], which I find annoying. However, it does charge very quickly and it's clear when full charge has been reached. I've barely used it on my legs, but I'm going to take a few ibuprofen before hitting the shower with this baby. Don't let how little I've used it on my legs put you off - I would heartily recommend it and am hoping to be able to not only do my legs but also a Brazilian (I suspect I'm not going to be able to afford my usual Hollywood for a while). One day. Some time. In the distant future.

Well, I managed to do up to my knees AND my pits and still have a little battery to spare... still needed 4 liquid ibuprofen, though; and I'll have to do my legs again tomorrow or in two days time

“Easy to Use”

★★★★★

written by rupal2 on 07/07/2011

This epilator when charged lasts about an hour, and even if you charge it and then leave it for a week, the charge is still there. I do have a problem with the red light appearing fairly soon after charging (red light means it's time to charge), however this is just a malfunction, as it works perfectly fine for a full hour. Overall I would recommend it as it does what it says it will.

Very effective and easy to use. Deals with tiny hairs and the built-in light makes it easier to spot the ones you'd normally miss. I had a main epilator before and much prefer the flexibility of have a rechargeable one which I'll also be able to take on holida with me as it uses a standard shaver socket.

Also love the sparkly finish - very girly!
