Stayed at Wasdale Campsite in March 2009 - Great weather ! If you are after some of the best the Lakes can offer, then camping here is a must. You can follow the crowds up the Scafells or better still walk up into Mosdale and do the horse shoe via the high level route and Pillar - Fantastic. Or just walk around England's deepest lake, my first girlfriends 'claim to fame' have swam in it ! The Barn door shop and Hotel pub offer great facilities for basic provisions, gear, and Real ale....
