    Get your remington some leupold quick release mounts and rings.I had then on my remy700 with 1" and 30mm rings for 6 years and took the scopes on and off hundreds of times without any loss of zero.Leupold guarantee less then 1/4 MOA shift!I can thoroughly recommend them. They are strong, quick and easy to use and never let me down.The only reason why they don't get 5 stars is they are not cheap - but you really do get what you pay for.
    Another alternative is weaver mount bases and leupold QR weaver rings, although they may or may not return to zero like the dedicated mounts/ring system.
    Burris signature rings and weaver bases are the tops if you do not want remove your scope quickly.The plastic inserts allow windage/elevation adjustments and will not mark you scope tube at all.They also will not move once set as the plastic insert grips instead of clamps.
    Unfortunately not cheap either
