I have owned this for about a year this is a very powerful machine. The Hardware is amazingly fast. The standards in this iMac are faster than the stuff in PC's right now that is sad. The Software is way more compatible than PC and get this no virus no slow boot up this is a great iMac PC has no chance what so ever!! (read more)

I've used PCs since they were first launched and there are always annoying niggles and for the first time I've invested in an iMAC. What a difference! First impression when I opened the box and just found a screen was "dammit they've not included the actual Mac, i'll have to go back to the shop". This turned to amazement when I realised the Mac was built into the screen and there was no box!!!!!! The keyboard is the best I've ever used and looks great, the mouse is excellent but why-oh-why... As expected, the Apple iMac 24-inch. 3.06GHz is an amazing machine and it lives up to all expectation. My comment about the DVD drive being sluggish - it is only with certain shiny DVDs that were cheap. The screen is a huge 24 inches. It is shiny which I was wary about but no - although you can get some reflection in the screen you don't even notice it once there is something up on the screen to look at!
