Good Points: Fantastic screen. High resolution. With 4GB RAM its FAST! Sublime software - Leopard 10.5.3. iTune, iPhoto, iMovie,iDVD, iWeb and more.
Bad Points: Pioneer DVD drive sluggish - does not open shiny CDs/DVDs
General comments: As expected, the Apple iMac 24-inch. 3.06GHz is an amazing machine and it lives up to all expectation. My comment about the DVD drive being sluggish - it is only with certain shiny DVDs that were cheap. The screen is a huge 24 inches. It is shiny which I was wary about but no - although you can get some reflection in the screen you don't even notice it once there is something up on the screen to look at! Use it for graphics - photography - its fantastic. Using BootCamp you can split the hard drive and install Windows on one drive. This is maybe contrary to many Mac users but there is some software you might want to use that is only available on Windows. It is good to have both systems installed so you can really keep up with what is going on in the world of technology! The latest Penryn operating system is much faster than the older iMacs and this computer is ALMOST as fast as Apple's giant - the Mac pro!
