I agree with you we have just been tricked by EMS internet to the tune of £3000 this year alone, we have now decided to close our business at the end of next year due to their poor efforts, incorrect grammar, lack of response to our complaints. Steer clear of this company

EMS Internet called me in October 2013 offering to build me a website far better than the one I had already got for £500. Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you feel this way. Whilst we do call our customers to discuss products and services to support them and their business, we cannot take a payment or process an order without permission from the card holder. If a customer advises us that they do not wish to have anything other than the initial purchase then we will always listen to them and respect their decision.

As a website can benefit from numerous SEO products It may be that you have purchased 2 sets of SEO rather than having been charged twice for the same one, but if you feel this is not the case please do get in touch so that we can investigate for you.

Stay well away from this company, honestly! Please do your research first! All they will do is chase you for your money and once they have it, everything else seems to go out the window; end product, customer service, any of your concerns about the build and creation of your site. Our marketing representatives don’t want to bombard you with the services that we offer so they may contact you from time to time with information on the additional services that they feel you will benefit from. Our products are sold under no obligation however if our customers request it we will ensure to stop any marketing calls that you may receive.

Been with ems a while and only stay with them because they are cheap, in my opinion the service is shockingly bad. Triple check everything before handing over your card details to be SURE it includes everything you want. My website has been live for years and still doesn't function 100% I was under the impression the control panel lets you alter everything, well it doesn't and you'll find you'll have to phone, what I consider to be, the dreaded customer service to get things altered… Read Full Review

I had exactly the same experience, first call parted me with what seemed like a reasonable £118 for the lifetime domain registration and software licence to edit my mobile website. When it came to the follow-up call to get the detail sorted out I was basically told that the site would be impossible to optimise unless I paid another £475.20, which after a very high pressure sales pitch I regretfully relented to. Luckily I got the sales rep to agree to split the cost of the optimisation, as that evening I got another text trying to sell me what I had already bought. I decided to cancel everything the next day, but found it difficult to get my account manager to take no for an answer. He confirmed the second instalment would not be payable until I was happy with the end result, but the promised email confirmation of this discussion never came. After further reflection, and still feeling very uneasy about the company, I decided to circumnavigate him and go straight through to customer services to cancel the agreement. For some reason the receptionist was unable to put me through, and a promised return call never happened.

I contacted my bank to stop any further payments going through, and sent an email and a letter of cancellation, registered post, but refunds according to the Terms & Conditions are at the 'discretion of the management', so I know I'll be wasting my time to get my money back, given their ethos of trying to get you to part with as much money as possible.

I've put this down to experience. I wish I'd searched for blogs on this company before I said yes, rather than when I started to feel very uneasy about their tactics.

Your website is your first shop window nowadays, and you need to deal with a company you can trust who will not over charge and continuously try to sell you more services that were not originally quoted for.

My advice is to not go near this company.

I've had exactly the same experience. I have had all the calls telling me this will be the last payment and then another call asking again for more money. I have been stupid and too trusting and have paid them. I too asked for it to be stopped and for my money back. I was told I could try but 'Ive not known of anyone being successful' I am a small business as well and I have worked out that it will take me about 10 years to pay the money back. My account manager is very polite but will also not take no for an answer. At no point have I felt like I had the option not to pay for whatever it is 'I need'. I agreed on a 2 page mobile and basic site originally for around £900 this is all I still want. I will be writing in as well quoting the supply of goods and services act. But don't hold out much hope
