Although it appears good value the personal medical insurance (i.e. if you need a doctor to visit you because you are not well when away) is higher than other insurers (£150) so don't expect to claim for money back after a doctor visit whilst away.

We had a similar experience to the people above, where our flight back to UK from Mumbai was delayed due to our connecting flight taking off 5 hours late. We had premium cover also, and read the policy while away which stated it covered for up to £800 per person for making alternate travel arrangements. On the basis of this we booked different flights home and have just had a response from Elephant and Aria Assistance that this only covers flights out of the UK, none for the rest of our 4 month trip. What is the difference??? Why would we only want coverage for our very first flight and none of the others. I think this is an absolute disgusting misuse of language to deceive people paying hundreds of pounds for what they think is good coverage. The lady at Aria Assistance told me that travel insurance is really only for medical assistance.. then what is the point of whacking up the prices and pretending you cover people for the myriad of things that can and do go wrong on holiday.
