Just got back from a great Tenerife holiday but Aqualand Costa Adeje was a huge letdown. We went on Saturday and apparently Friday, Saturday and Sunday are always dead. There were 3 other couples in when we arrived and it didnt get any busier!!! This meant that there was no atmosphere in the place at all and the customers were easily outnumbered by lifeguards.Half of each of the slides was closed so you couldn't go down the slides together. Some slides were totally closed. One of the two kiddies section was closed for maintenance so if you're taking small children the available slides are VERY limited. All rides looked old with peeling paint etc. The place looked as if there had been no investment in 10 years (except on the advertising!). The water pressure on many of the slides was very weak, and this meant we had no momentum - we both came to a halt halfway down a couple of slides (and we're both average size / weight). After you have paid the (not cheap) entrance fee to get in you must pay a further 6 euros for locker hire (4 euros with a 2 euro deposit) and 3.50 euros for a sunbed. All overpriced and designed to take your money off you. There's an underwater world attraction which also costs to go round. However, the dolphin show was included in the admission price ... Unfortunately we couldn't face hanging round for three and a half hours for it to start and left after an hour.We had the double ticket with Jungle Park which was by far the better of the two attractions. However, if we go again we would definately visit Siam Park and Loro Park instead. Although we didn't get to try Siam Park ourselves the slides looked to offer a lot more and we think it would be worth the extra cost. If you do chose to go to Aqualand and Jungle Park look out for the vouchers handed out at the airport etc which offer the 2 attractions for 30 euros per person instead of the usual 35 euros.

Aqualand Costa Adeje have an amazing dolphin show which is one of the best I have seen (and I have seen a lot of them!!). This is because they use lots of different props and tricks that I have never seen before. Is a great place to go for a day out!! Would recommend it.

Once you add in all the extras (rings, lockers, sun beds, drinks nearly 3x the supermarket prices rather than the usual 2x) this becomes a very expensive day out and you still have to get yourself home. The advertised 17 rides include 3 pools and 4 rides which you need to hire a ring for. The website doesn't mention charges for rings but it also says the super slalom has 5 slides when it clearly only has 4. And you would have to be pretty well greased to get down any of them without stopping. Ea ...

I generally liked my visit to aqualand and would just advise to take abit more cash. There is quite a lot to do once you get in. The dolphin show is fantastic and is a must to see!
