Two words to describe this product 'absolute rubbish'
Bad points were failed to find series links, missed the end off most programs even with the 5 minute before and after buffer and continually froze.
Really bad points stopped working after 5 months with corrupt HD and I lost all my programs.
An amazingly bad product that has caught so many of us by the cheap price dont be fooled by its garbage

garbage not to put to fine a point on it had to replce the Thomson DTI 6300-16 twice within a fortnight.
It was struggling to find any series link, noisy fan box froze easy and audio and picture sync issues and the final straw unable to power on.- Read canon75's review (48 words)

Thomson DTI 6300-16- Easy to use and navigate menus, but others on the market are even easier.
Very unreliable. I bought one for the lounge and one for my daughter's room. The one in the lounge was replaced under the guarantee, and the replacement was even worse, so I "traded it in" against another brand (Humax). Hard drive recorders are a brilliant idea but this particular model is very poor and not to be recommended.- Read nibob's review (76 words)

The expression fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me comes to mind. I bought my first Thomson DTI 6300-16 12 months ago and had to have it replaced 9 months later after it crashed several times and would no longer work. Should have taken the refund offer but thought it might have been a faulty machine. Second one only lasted less than 3 months and am now unable to even what the freeview for more than 3 minutes at a time before it crashes. You get what you pay for NOT MUCH. A me ...- Read lizzieannmac's review (136 words)

I have not had any problems so far with the performance it has recorded all of the programs that I have timed, even those which are regularly repeated. Having said that I would not buy another or recommend to friend because of the continual motor noise.- Read mbaxendine's review (56 words)

Bought so that we could try the TopUp TV service (which we binned after 3 weeks) and to rerplace our ageing VCR. After almost a year we're converted to the ease of hard disk recording. However, the Thomson is too full of faults to stay in our lounge. The noisy cooling fan runs all the time, even when the unit is on standby. The screen freezes from time to time, requiring the unit to be unplugged and rebooted before it will work again. Trying to fast forward through ad breaks often results in the ...- Read BeezaMark's review (188 words)

In my opinion, the Thomson DTI 6300-16 is a high priced, poor quality machine. In addition, it is currently in for a service report with the local shop where it was purcahsed are they not giving an acceptable level of customer service.- Read Guest's review (80 words)
