    Good Points: usually ok


    General comments: There was a flooding near Bristol, the 11-50 from Plymouth left on time with passengers, the passengers because of flooding were transferred to coaches, I was told by staff at cross country, when asked the question when is it estimated it will arrive in Sheffield so I could pick up my partner, I was told they cant tell me where she is, if this was a child I was waiting to pick up I would of been very worried about their service, when I asked for a supervisor or manager I was told there is not one available till tomorrow morning, the problem for me is I dont have a mobile phone, and neither does my partner, so all sense go's out of the window. I feel I should have got a very near time when she should arrive in Sheffield, seemingly not...
    I do not recommend Crosscountrytrain.co.uk due to my experience.

    I was very impressed on a recent trip when a very old lady travelling to Bristol went to the buffet as there was no seat service before Bristol. The girl in the shop asked how she proposed to return to her seat (beside me) as the train was already full, and we were approaching Exeter. She had forgotten her stick as well. The girl contacted the Train Manager, explained the problem, and asked him to arrange station assistance for her; she was unloaded by the shop door, met by 2 helpers, and while ...
