Thanks to AQUOTE, just renewed with them, provided a good multibike policy backed by AVIVA, on the mark with the price. Tasha the rep was knowledgable polite and phoned back as and when arranged. I would like to thank DARREN 0652, ADAM 0516 and MARK 0519 at Aquote for their collective help in sorting a problem for me with reference to my bike private plate change over nightmare. I have been insuring my motorbikes with Aquote since 2005 and this is the first time I really needed their help. Have been with aquote several years always found them cheap and quick, however this year has been frough with problems. Had my renweal come through and over the next 5 days eveings only called and sat and sat waiting for the answer phone message to stop and be able to speak with someone. One evening I left the phone on hands free with their ongoing mesage telling me im next in the que I had my tea watched some news before I gave up and tried another evening, this was to give them some money... firstly they mannaged to get my reg wrong, which i only found out when i couldnt renew my road tax. and if you cancel or try and end the insurance, be prepared for a shock and unpleasent staff, trying to charge you upto 50% of the remaining balance .... i found this out when paying monthly. there level of cover isnt that good either. I will never use them again ..... ever! (read more)

Terrible, terrible, terrible, been phoning them since before 9 September, phone rings out, 2 of their lines are now dead, put on hold and never get through. Someone takes your details and will phone you back - they never do. Total disaster - worst insurance company i have dealt with in over 2o years. (read more)

Rubbish - a load of liars!
I would disuade anyone from using them! The policy I took out was not set up on time, then after an infuriating phone call I rang back and canecelled. Only, then to discover that they ad not cancelled my direct debit. I then cancelled this, but a year later it started up again and they charged me for the privilage of cancelling it.

Quick and easy to complete on line. Despite searching for other quotes and finding initial quotes cheaper when you actually went to purchase theses 'so called' cheaper quotes the price actually went up. Yours was consistent everytime. So i could have actually saved my self time and gone with you when you first quoted me. But everyone is looking to save money so i continued to look but i came back and am satisfied with price. I was assured be a telephone sales person that if i took the policy 'online' then I would receive my documents by email, thus enabling my prime requirement (reason i chose aquote ofer cheaper alternatives) of being able to Tax my car TODAY! after taking the policy out(which allegedly came into force 35 minutes BEFORE I applied for it) I find that my documents do not come through 'online', but will take 3 to 5 days to arrive by post.
I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!!

Came to find Aquote offering the cheapest quote a month before my car insurance renewal. Purchased it and waited happily for my cover note and policy documents.
A WEEK'S later - call received saying the policy could not be fulfilled due to system error. The cheaper quote obtained a week ago could no longer be accessed making an opportunity loss of £300. No compensation was offered by Aquote.
Money taken from credit card had not been refunded 3 days after the call. Called them up, customer...

Avoid AQuote like the plague. They renewed my insurance and trebled it. I had since taken out insurance with Saga. AQuote sent me a cancellation bill for £187 + £34 they had taken from my a/c. They also informed me that if I did not pay cancellation charges they would be passing to a debt collection agency. I had to send a copy of my Certificate of Insurance to them with a letter threatening to take them to the Insurance Ombudsman. They finally repaid £34 taken from my a/c after about... (read more)

Not happy with A Quote. They automatically re-newed my car insurance even though it was over £500 dearer than the previous year. Sent me wrong NCB with the wrong Insurers name and policy details. Had to spend all day trying to contact my insurance company only to be told it was Aquotes error and I had to ring them back again and get them to double check with my insurance company and then send out my correct NCB details. They are the worst insurance company anyone can ever insure their car with. At the start, they put on a good act and make you think they are the ebst people on planet earth. DON'T BE DECEIVED!!!! I was lured by a gentleman into joining them when I was looking around for quotes and until I had to call them to let them know that I sold off my car and needed to cancel my policy, I didn't know who I was dealing with. Beware the small print from A Quote Car Insurance......if there`s any chance of change in vehicle during policy term then don`t touch this company with a barge pole.Due to a variety of charges and stings it will cost you the customer big time to enact this change.Staff very unhelpful -they hide behind terms and conditions.Probably best avoided! Good cheap quotes for car insurance with heavy hidden charges and rude staff. (read more)

I completely agree with you onn that. I ahve just spoken to a very rude guy once I mentioned that I was cancelling my policy because I had sold off the car. When you are joining them, they are as good as they can be but when you get to contact them later, they are te rudest human beings I have ever come accross. Then the charges after you cancel are even higher than what you have been paying for incurance!!!! BE WARE ALL OF YOU CONSIDERING THIS COMPANY!!!!!

please avoid this company! i got my quote from compare the market site stating that i had an imported car.later that day i haad rang the company to confirm everything was ok to which they agreed. i then have an accident told a quote about it and the following day i recieved a letter through the post saying that i was not insured as i failed to tell them that it was an import. it was then handed to the Financial Ombudsman Service two years of letter writing going back and forth it turned out i was telling the truth as they failed to see that compare the market stores everthing for up to 3 years. the fact that i had it wasan import and even in our telephone conversation it was stated that it was imported they completely ignored that main fact and tried to "pass the buck"! i was looking at paying thounds in compasations so please they may be cheap but in the long run it's no wth your time and hassle.
