“Excellent car hire”

After searching the web for car hire companys based at Faro airport and reading customer reviews I decided on ZITAUTO! Booking of car was easy and any query about car/booking was quickly dealt with!! Seemed a bit strange that there was no formal stand in arrivals hall but found the agent easily in cafe where 3 other companys had based themselves. Having provided all the necessary information on line before arrival it took only 5 minutes to process our booking before proceeding to the car... (read more)

This is the first time ihave used this service.No the cars may not be the newest but are car was well presented.Entered all my detals on line,passport/driving licence no etc.From meeting the rep in the arrivals hall to collecting car 20 mins tops.Iused abudget hire company last year at Faro airport was unable to use the car for 2days due to a dead battery.Took 90 mins to check in,so was reluctant to use a budget car hire company again.IMO Zit Auto Hire is good value for money.Will use... “If they gave me a car for free I wouldn't take it!”

We booked with Zitauto and I had nothing but problems with them. We booked a 7 seater and pointed out at the airport the air conditioning did not work and and the air and state of the car (it was 5 years old). We where told to continue with our journey which we stupidly did. It was 36C outside and the car was blowing in warm air! We complained and they very nicely sent out a new car which again was 5 years old and when I turned on the engine a notice came up that the car needed a service.... (read more)

“Excellent Service For AMny Years ”

We have been using Zit for numerous years now & NEVER have we had any problems! Always very quick to process the paperwork. Always willing to help. Fuel is Empty to Empty and has never been any other certainly never full to full ! Unfortunately this year we have gone elsewhere for our cars as they were over €90 cheaper for our 2 weeks and thats a lot of spending money !! Definately recommend Zitautos to anyone & thanks for many year of good car hire. (read more)

Used them for the first time. Collection was not as easy due to damage to airport building. Vehicle was fine and the hand-over/return was very speedy. The cars are not as new as those you get from the major companies but the prices reflect this. Have arranged to use them again in February 2012. (read more)

We rented 2 cars from Zitauto. At arrival, the person who collected the car told us we did not fill up the tank, which we absolutely did on our way back. He wanted us to pay of the tank as compensation. We did not agree and went back to a gas station nearby. This gas station only had the possibility to pay in advance, where we paid 24 euros for 15 litres of diesel/gasoline.
When we started filling the tank up to the point of gasoline flowing out, we could only fill 5 litres!!!

The best prices and the easiest of all companies to deal with. Cars are on the airport and you don't pay a penny until you collect your car. No excess rip offs either, just take the car back with about the same amount of fuel as when you collected it and no panic if you have collected a scratch in a car park somewhere! (read more)

Zitauto representative was where he said he would be at Faro airport. Paperwork completed with the minimum of fass, we handed over the cash and the car was found in the car park two minutes walk from the terminal building. We returned to same place a week later. Car had a quarter tank of fuel and we were asked to return in in the same state so we would not suffer any of the rip offs regarding "full tanks". There were some marks on the car when we collected it but, again, there were none... (read more)

No desk a lady sitting by the coffee shop will deal with your booking , pay by cash when you arrive no excess, seem to be always busy, if you just need an A to B car this is your company, very little choice of cars, baby seat was dirty but all in all its about value and there price was the best (read more)

I find this review confusing. We use Zit autos frequently with no hassle. They always give you paperwork with the petrol level marked, and ask you to bring it back at the same level. The closest petrol station is not pay in advance only, we use it all the time.
