I sent a Nokia 6300 back with a damaged screen after I had sat on the phone with my keys in my pocket . The phone was repaired.the back metal plate was still bent as this was 'cosmetic'. The new screen was scratched. All tones and factory defaults had been removed so the phone was unusable. This took 8 days and then had to be returned. orange phone insurance is more expensive but 24hr turnaround. This phone insurance sucks. £30 excess then another £5 for special delivery. i could have bought a second hand phone on ebay and had it delivered quicker.

I had the Lloyds TSB Mobile Phone Insurance account for 3 years and never made a claim. However, the casing around the camera lens on my phone came apart so I made a claim. The operator told me this was a 'cosmetic' and not covered by the insurance. I IMMEDIATELY cancelled the platinum account rubbish. What's the point of paying extra for nothing at all? Stay away from this gimmik!!

My wife lost her Nokia 6630. We didn't know exactly where/when, but we had been a way on a short break and concluded that it happened then. She did without it for about 6 weeks. (We had both forgotten we had Lloyds Bank Insurance cover on it; free of charge with the account.

I rang them up and explained what had happened and they told me I could claim.

EVERYTHING went extremely smoothly. She took some details over the phone and said the system would inform her whether a claims form needs to be ...

I have sent my N95 in for repair twice.
The first time was my fault.
The second time was because they had sent it back to me in a worse state than when i sent it to them.
Today i got a replacement phone (a refurb). It turns off every time i pick it up. Needless to say it's going back.
Hopefully they'll get it right 4th time....

I got my new Iphone and thought I would not need to get 02's Insurance as my lloyds account covered it. I only had the phone for 1 month when passing if form my hand to my wife I dropped it. The screen broke not good. I thought that it will be Ok as I can get my insurance to cover it. After filling tons of paper work out then them sending me more paper work to send the phone off to a repair centre. I am still waiting 3 and half weeks later for my phone back. I find them useless on the phone as w ...

Lloyds TSB Mobile Phone Insurance has bad customer serviceEverything official has to be dealt with by letterTakes 10 working days to replace a lost phone, not including days used up in posting letters to and froThey don't explain properly on the phone what it is you need to produce to have a claim dealt with properly.

My phone was damaged by a bent charger pin. I sent it off a month ago with payment of £30 excess. I heard nothing from them, then called today only to be told that becaue I put the claim in 2 days after the damage occured that I wasn't covered. I still don't have my phone. I now I have to write a letter appealing the decision and wait anything up to three weeks for my phone to be repaired.

This is my second claim, the 1st six months ago, I had a Nokia N73, damaged, cannot have the same phone, unless I am willing to wait, so you have to take what they offer. when that phone stopped working 6 months on, I waited up to 15 days without a phone, claiming seems to be a long drawn out system, not even internet based forms, only snail mail application forms, have been told it will take up to 15 days to get my phone repaired or replaced at a further cost of £30.I dont feel this is g ...

This is my second claim. My first claim went on for nearly 3 months, promises to ring me back did not materialise. In the end I got my excess back and a cash settlement.
My latest claim has been going on a month already. I still do not have a handset and they refuse to accept an independent examination that the phone cannot be repaired. Nor will they send an envelope to return the phone in. All in all very bad.
It may be free with platinum account but I will be cancelling this due to the service ...

Steer clear of this service. It might be "free" with a gold account, but I have been wating now 2 weeks for a replacement handset and been told it could be another week before a decision is made.
In my previous insurance (that I paid £7 a month for) I had a new handset within 2 days of my claim going in.
