Given all the bad reviews this has I nearly withdrew my claim as the impression is that you'd be better off giving your phone to a man in the street... However I dropped a phone I had got 30 hours before, on an insurance policy I'd activated 28 hours before attached to a bank account I'd had 48 hours. I was expecting a fight, but no they accepted my claim no bother fixed my phone in 4 days. This insurace company is the worst company ever people, I will not recommend at all. made a claim 13 days ago and still no answer . they are delaying it on purpose and i received a call from further investigation team , the guy said to me withdraw you claim form ... Originally jubious as lost abroad so didn't have crime number. Sent forms in on a Friday recorded delivery, received a phone call Monday. Was originally annoyed as the department that sorts the claims forms and scan onto the system lost the only original receipt I sent in so was told they were unable to process my claim. I have to admit to not expecting to have my claim approved (the only proof I had of ownership was a printout of my google dashboard, showing I owned my phone and it had last been used the day it was stolen). Two days after sending in my forms, I get an email to say they've started looking at the claim, and then later that day a call to confirm that it had been approved. Sent my z1 off for repair after it got bent and the screen smashed. I even told them it was bent and not to send it back bent but....yeah they have. “Worst mobile phone insurance experience!”

I'm honestly thinking of leaving Lloyds banking group after this experience. While I'm aware that the mobile phone insurance offered by Lloyds on its premium accounts is not actually run by Lloyds but by Lifestyle Group, the fact that Lloyds chooses to submit its premium clients to a service of this standard is unbelievable. Oh dear I have just made a claim for a lost phone today with Lloyds.. Not looking forward to all this extra stress before xmas. My daughter is with RBS and her insurance cover sent her a new phone the following day with no hassle.

Contacted apple to send my phone in for an out of warranty replacement to be told I have to travel over 67miles to an Apple Store as I have a US Verizon model of iphone ! “LSG - Appaling Service”

Speakers and microphone were faulty on my S3, sent off to LSG for repair / replacement. The phone they sent back fixed the speaker /microphone fault but they didnt check the wi-fi component as this only worked when placed about 1 foot from a router. Had to send the phone back as a 2nd repair - customer services told me it would be treated as an urgent repair. Dropped my Samsung galaxy s4, accepted my claim and I returned to them a week later received my phone back with different imei number and it was also locked, even though I had sent letter with claim advising them that I had paid orange to unlock my phone, now they will not unlock it until I send them proof of unlocking, I have now been without phone for 8 days, it will take 7/10 days to receive proof via orange, then I need to send proof to lloyds which will also take time and apparently takes… Read Full Review

“Unauthorised Software”

I dropped my phone and broke it which resulted in a cracked screen and the phone constantly resetting. I paid £50 to LSG and made a claim explaining both faults. My phone was returned with the screen fixed but not the resetting. I sent it back and this time they lost it for 3 weeks before 'fixing' and returning it me. Hi. Have you taken your phone to a HTC store? It could be the case that you're phone was 'fixed' with counterfeit parts. I'm currently working as a junior researcher for a BBC1 show that deals with consumer issues, and we've picked up a story about mobile phone insurance companies using fake parts. If you could reply to this comment to let me know how your experience has developed and whether or not it has been confirmed that your phone now contains fake parts, then I'd love to get in contact with you for the show.

Hit a few hurdles in the beginning when I claimed my lost S3..they asked me for proof of usage showing last time phone was used which I couldnt provide as I was using pay as you go..I called my service provider and they said in order to get that I would need to fill and application with a 10 pound fee and wait 40 days to get the report.
