Dropped iPhone and smashed front, and the back, it even stopped working after a while. Called the Barclays phone insurance group, LSG, and they provided a form via email immediately so I filled it in, paid the excess and received and acceptance email within 3 days. I sent the phone on a Monday and had it back on the Friday fully repaired, working and looking mint. Sent off my iphone 5c after it became water damaged, a week later received an email to say it was not repairable and that a replacement would be sought that i would receive in 3 working days. Today got a letter asking me to ring was told they cannot get hold of my phone but will send me a refurbished iphone 5 with 16gb memory or £188 cash for me to buy a replacement ( I have already given them £100 excess) Asked why they cannot replace like for like and was informed it ' depends what stock… Read Full Review

Dropped my iPhone in water, claimed through my lloyds bank phone insurance. Paid £100 excess, sent my phone off and then a week later I rang to check on the progress of my claim. Was told my handset had been repaired (not replaced) and was on its way back to me. Received it today and it's not even my phone, despite the enclosed paperwork stating that it is. Such a poor company dont know how they still in business. Sent my phone in 3 times, they could not fix it so they said i'll get a new phone next working day. Waited in all day no phone no nothing. Called up nobody has a clue whats going on, even spoke to a manager who said she would watch it. Got so many emails that were all wrong with the information contained. I claimed for my iPhone 5C which had broken from water damage. I sent the phone off and all was fine as they were sending a replacement. The phone arrived around 10 days after making the claim and I was disappointed to find that my sim was not being recognised by the phone. Thinking my sim was the issue from the water damage, I went into EE to get a replacement. I got the sim activated no problem. I was extremely cautious sending my phone off after reading the horrendous reviews. I was astonished about how good the service was. I was quickly sent the form by email, filled it out, they recommended how to deliver it and to what address. “Avoid this company”

I have been banking with Lloyds TSB for over 10 years, been paying for Premium account £25 per month. Thought i'd use them when my daughter dropped her iphone 5s and smashed it. The screen is broken but also the chassis is bent so looked unlikely it would be 'repaired' once metal bends its almost impossible to fix it. Given all the bad reviews this has I nearly withdrew my claim as the impression is that you'd be better off giving your phone to a man in the street... However I dropped a phone I had got 30 hours before, on an insurance policy I'd activated 28 hours before attached to a bank account I'd had 48 hours. I was expecting a fight, but no they accepted my claim no bother fixed my phone in 4 days. This insurace company is the worst company ever people, I will not recommend at all. made a claim 13 days ago and still no answer . they are delaying it on purpose and i received a call from further investigation team , the guy said to me withdraw you claim form ... Originally jubious as lost abroad so didn't have crime number. Sent forms in on a Friday recorded delivery, received a phone call Monday. Was originally annoyed as the department that sorts the claims forms and scan onto the system lost the only original receipt I sent in so was told they were unable to process my claim. I have to admit to not expecting to have my claim approved (the only proof I had of ownership was a printout of my google dashboard, showing I owned my phone and it had last been used the day it was stolen). Sent my z1 off for repair after it got bent and the screen smashed. I even told them it was bent and not to send it back bent but....yeah they have. I'm honestly thinking of leaving Lloyds banking group after this experience. While I'm aware that the mobile phone insurance offered by Lloyds on its premium accounts is not actually run by Lloyds but by Lifestyle Group, the fact that Lloyds chooses to submit its premium clients to a service of this standard is unbelievable. Oh dear I have just made a claim for a lost phone today with Lloyds.. Not looking forward to all this extra stress before xmas. My daughter is with RBS and her insurance cover sent her a new phone the following day with no hassle.

Contacted apple to send my phone in for an out of warranty replacement to be told I have to travel over 67miles to an Apple Store as I have a US Verizon model of iphone !
