Considering the Falcon Hunter was less than $300, I thought this would be the perfect turkey hunting gun for urban turkeys. Despite shooting my limit in both the spring and fall seasons, I am very disappointed in the all around function and power of this gun. My FH came completely assembled. I checked the scope mounts for tightness, and hit the range. In the first ten rounds, the scope backed off the dovetail. After re-securing the scope, the gun was impossible to dial in at 20 yards. Rounds were flying all over the place. Nothing within 4 inches of each other. After nearly 200 rounds, I gave up and hoped the gun would hit a target. My first tom was hit at 35 yards in the neck, and died instantly. I found out that this was a lucky shot, as the gun wouldn't hit the targets I was aiming at after that (either birds or paper). I tossed the scope and used the iron sights. I found the gun to be perfect, with 1/2 inch groups at 15 yards using open sights. I used open sights to get my fall tom at 20 yards but found that the pellet (an RWS pointed tip 17gr) didn't penetrate the breast bone/hit the vitals. The shot was enough to stun the bird for a follow-up shot at 5 yards in the head. I have had 4 birds fly off with lead in their bodies though, due to lack of power. One had 2 solid hits at less than 10 yards and flew off. Not my idea of ethical hunting. I cannot imagine using this gun for hunting any game animal bigger than a squirrel, and being successful. I am doubtful that any claims of this gun being a "beast" are accurate. For the idiots who don't like the camo stock, buy daisy for f-ing sake. Camo hides your gun when hunting! I recently mounted a Bushnel air rifle 3-9x30 scope on the Walther with Leupold mounts and still can't get any better than 2" groups at 10 yards, and still have fly offs every third shot or so. I am going to get a crossbow for my future urban turkey hunts hoping for a bigger hole and clean kills. Don't buy this gun, you will be disappointed in nearly every aspect of the weapon. By the way, if you think this gun is hard to cock, you are a wimp. The trigger gets lighter with time, but does not give a feel that will allow you to practice for rifle hunting, as most centerfire rifles have light triggers without three feet of play before firing! Overall the gun is very "plasticy" where it shouldn't be; on the "muzzle brek", the trigger, and the hammer. The stock has a good feel to it despite its being plastic. The gun is long overall, but that can be helpful when approaching injured game, as you can use the gun to hit the animal on the head and still be 6 feet away from it! If I had it to do all over again, I'd get am RWS side cock model, and not have the inaccuracy of a break barrel. I also doubt the claims of the FH reaching 1100fps with lead.
    Good Luck, and happy hunting

I have read many good and bad things about this Walther Falcon rifle prior to buying it. My biggest concern was the screws coming lose, the poor scope, and the stock cracking. Now that I own it, I can give my own review. I have only had it for a week and shot about 250 rounds to date, so this review is based on that. No screws have walked out, nor is there any cracking of the stock around the screws. I have read in other reviews that if you send your cracked stock in, they will send you an impro ...

I bought a Walther Falcon Hunter in .22cal a couple months ago. My initial impressions were mixed. It is a beast. It came covered in a significant amount of what appeared to be cutting oil that took a while to clean off. I then reamed out the barrel and cleaned it thoroughly. I noticed right away that the catch that holds the barrel in place is REAL STIFF. I thought I was going to bend my barrel before I got it to release. (much harder than either my Theoben Eliminator or my Gamo 1250) Once I go ...

The rifle is fantastic. Mine had a slight mar in the finish, but I can repair it easier than returning it. The rifle zeroed in quickly and at approx 30 yards will place groups under a half inch. The rifle is very, very powerful. Mine is a .25 and a pellet from the 30 yards hitting a gallon plastic jug filled with water not only punched completely through the water, both sides of the jug and burried in wood, it split the side of the jug.

Bottom line, I'd like less plastic but the rifle's perform ...
