    Te USB ports failed as well last month - suspect related to the mainboard. I work as an accountant and use a laptop at work. This was not the most expensive model when I bought it and its functionality etc seems good value.
    The mainboard has gone 3 times in 12 months and 1 day (1 year warranty!!) - initial response from the telephone supplier support is that it is outside warranty - am going to have to go back to the shop and argue my case.
