The only restaurants this lists are McDonalds though it does list petrol and cash points. My main complaint about this is that it is very difficult to update. I downloaded the necessary software to plug the sat nav into my computer by trying to find which map you want took me an hour because there are so many derivations of the product. I finally found (I think) what I needed and ordered. However when the disc came there was only a small receipt with an address but no telephone number...

Had this unit for over a year. Brillant. However, difficult to contact Navman. I recently updated the cameras - that went ok. But I also updated and paid for the maps - this has not updated my system, have tried to contact Navman - but to no joy.
Unit is good.

Had S80 for 15 months, travelled uk frequently and always found it to be reliable and trustworthy. However the power button has just collapsed into unit when I last switched it on and is now unusable! Not good value. (read more)

I'm not quite sure why some reviewers say that this unit is awful. I think it's excellent, although it can take a while to learn how to use properly, as it has a lot of functionality. If you're willing to read the manual properly you'll have no problems. The only critisism I'd have is the NavDesk, which could be a little more 'User Friendly', but all in all, a superb SatNav, especially when it's on offer at half price!! A nice wide screen too! I've been using the S80 for a year now, we have integrated SatNav in our other car and I'm starting to feel that the separate unit is a much better option.
The routefinding and routes generated have been excellent and I've learned some really good short-cuts that I would never have taken.
The TMC is pretty good although you are at the mercy of local FM services. The bluetooth/phone integration works well although you obviously need a separate microphone - which isn;t a problem
I've...

Navman S80 is a good unit, not easy to get the hang of. I used it in Italy and had no problems with it. I would have been in trouble without it. Clear instructions and accurate maps. Overall I am pleased with this unit. I thing this was quite good value for money. (read more)

I have read all your reviews and thought i would just have to write some thing.
I have had my Navman S80 unit for over 5 months now, never has it gone wrong once.
yes it takes you down some very weird country lanes but thats because you do not set it right, work that out first then write a review.
the traffic undates are a fanstastic idea, 4 hours on the M25 or 25 mins home, your choice.
some times it will freeze turn it off and on again like your pc and it works again, (what like this is...

Overall I Thinks Its Quite Good For A First Sat Nav. Easy To Use, Clear Instruction, Good Features Ie Bluetooth, POIs etc. However I Don't Think Its Worth The Price, I've Seen Better Ones For Less! (read more)

I have had the Navman S30 for quite a while and have just purchased the Navman S80 (1/2 price) as I am currently in Europe - Sep 2008 - I'm from Australia). I have no complaints about either model and find them very easy to use. I have also had no trouble with the routing. I cannot comment on the bluetooth/mobile phone connectivity as I haven't as yet set it up but I expect it will be as simple to setup as the other features were. Looks good and works well with easy to following voice... (read more)

The Navman S80 sat nav looks nice. A widescreen device. But when it comes down to it, it is a pretty useless device because you simply cannot trust it will give a half decent route. (read more)

The Navman S80 is a nice looking widescreen device with touch screen capability. Does not reflect sunlight so can be used in bright light. Difficult to use in that nothing is intuitutive, it is difficult to get it to avoid a blocked road, (I still haven't worked out how to do this).
A rather untrustworthy device because its routes can be erratic. You will always need a map with you if this thing goes nuts which is too often. Get a tomtom, they work.

The Navman S80 is my first venture away from the SatNav giants TomTom, and I'm not disappointed at all. By far the most useful feature of the S80 is it's built-in TMC receiver which operates through Classic FM giving real-time traffic updates to your system. The system can then advise you of the traffic situation on your route, the speed of the traffic ahead, the time taken to clear the traffic and when available, what's causing the disruption. It will even reroute you automatically around... (read more)

This review is spot on. I am trying to update my S80 at the moment having paid for the update I can't get the system to accept the product key and it is impossible to get someone to talk to. If you think you will need customer service support at any time don't buy a Navman.
