    Good Points: Sleak, actually made in Canada, great tone and great price.


    Bad Points: none.


    General comments: The Energy Connoisseur C-5 is an awesome speaker for the money. Very well balanced, lots bass power if needed.

    The Energy Connoisseur C-5 are very well balanced sound with all musical styles. Not perfect, but very, very good. I have had my pair for over two years now without the slightest problem. I very much enjoy them and intend to keep them around for much longer.

    The highs are very good without being painful and fatiguing even during extended listening sessions. The mid range may be a little bit soft, but this allows the speaker to remain balanced.

    Im not sure how to rate the Energy Connoisseur C-5 speakers. They sounded great and I was more than happy with them, but after 18 months the speakers died and i am having trouble getting them replaced. Not good for the price i paid for them.

    I have owned these speakers a few months now and could not be more pleased with them. They are the front line to my music and home theatre system and they just plain kick ass. The other speakers in the Connoisseur line match perfectly with these timbre-wise, and all combine to create an incredible soundstage in my living room. At the price point I got them ($600.00 USD/pr) I thought they were a steal! The Connoisseurs are the equal to speakers costing much more.

    I would have to say that these Connoisseur C-5 speakers from Energy Speaker Systems are some of the finest speakers for under $1000-1500 out there. The C-9s Are even better but for the price you can't go wrong with the C-5 for stereo or fronts on your home theatre. Go Listen to them!

    I've had these Connoisseur C-5 speakers from Energy Speaker Systems for a few weeks now and they are well over their 'burn-in' period. They sound Wonderful, providing the cleanest sound I've heard from any speaker priced at $1000CDN or under. I listened to numerous other types (Mission, PSB, and others) and the Energy's were by far the best. I have them connected to a NAD C370 Amp and the combination of this pair is outstanding!
