One Child by Torey L Hayden is a must-read book concerning neglected abused children who are saved by their teacher's unconditional love. The fact that these young children do not know the pleasent side of life, they consider everyone as bas as their parents. Torey Hayden has no magical powers that could cure these children, but she gives unconditional love to the child who needed help due to her present situation at home. Torey Hayden is a complete inspiration to all. There are a lot of sad books about child neglect and abuse around at the moment but her books are totally different as they show courage strength and love and are full of hope. Sometimes hope is all these children have I absolutely loved every bit of this book and felt as though I travelled this bumpy journey with her and Sheila. This is a must read. (read more)

Once started Torey.L. Hayden, One Child I could not bring myself to put it down. Parts of the book upset me so much I cried, others made me feel so angry but the one thing that shines out is just what amazing things can be achieved when someone is willing to offer pure, unconditional love to another person. No matter how lost they may seem. Torey Hayden is an angel! (read more)
