I booked the Maroon H2 Hummer for my daughters birthday party some three month prior to the evening and I checked and double checked that we would be getting what we paid for 'the Maroon H2' as shown on the web site. Booked hummer limo- very very old excursion turned up without prior warning. No lights in the limo- loose wires everywhere. Was forced to pay for it if I wanted to make my wedding registry on time. I was told to write to the company and that I would receive a response in 24hours. I have been waiting for 8 weeks. thank you so much for this review. I had a lucky escape!!! On querying why they would not accept a bank transfer deposit but would accept exactly the same amount via a debit card - I got the response "your call will now be terminated". Seriously, watchdog should be contacted.....

Limo ordered was a 16 seater. Limo that turned up was a 12 seater. Hen ended up sitting on the floor! Driver was rude and spent the majority of the journey on his phone - very dangerous at points. We were informed that if we were more than 10 mins late leaving (despite asking and being told on booking that we could take as many photos as we liked!) that we would automatically be charged an extra £135. This happened to me too. Limo ordered was a Hummer, instead excursion appeared. An old old excursion should I say. Having been trying to call for 6 weeks to get refund, noone has gotten back to me. If you ring they say you will get an email. No email received. No lights in lim, could see loose wires everywhere. Paid an extra £195 because I had to reach my wedding venue. I am considering contacting BBC watchdog.

My girlfriend was told over the phone that the limo she booked would pick us up at our address at 9:15pm and drive us around for an hour taking us to where we would like to go. Before booking she was told that part of the service we would receive 2 complimentary MAGNUMS of Bubbly, which we did not. After an internal investigation, i concluded that you the customer that cancel the booking for the 16th March.
Your review concedes with another submitted to Qype on the same day, assuming both are from the same person I would like to make the following comments:
+ You ask us to provide you with a service quotation, on acceptance of our quote and by making a reservation with us you agreed to be binding by our terms and conditions.
+ We sent you an email confirmation of your reservation; it clearly stated on the top right, and in red, the importance of our terms and conditions. Also in the bottom, it’s our booking terms and link to our terms and conditions on the website.
+ Just because you may not have read our terms and conditions it should not mean you not responsible for your actions. A verbal agreement equals to a signed one; you do not need to sign a contract to be legally binding. (Per example: If you book 2 night stay in hotel, over the phone or online, but do not read the terms and conditions and later cancel – you still have to go by they cancellation policy).
In your case you made a reservation with us for the 16th March. On the 12th March you called to cancel, you here informed of the cancellation fees as per our terms and conditions. You here also told that you could postpone to another day without paying further charges. You decided to double check with the rest of the group and to call us back and let us know.
On the 13th March, you sent us an email stating that you would like to go ahead with the cancellation. Therefore you understood our cancellation terms and the fees around it, as it was explained to you the day before.
You then called us, threatening to take legal action against the company and chargeback on the card. The operator inform you there was nothing that she/he was able to do, as it was the company policy and out of her/his hands and that also you have confirmed via email that you decided after all to cancel the reservation, you were told to reply to your confirmation with your complaint.
Then your friend called and said to the phone operator that we were “dodgy”, im sorry that you friend felt that way, we have been in business for over 7 years now and our clients range from High Profile VIP’s and Corporate Institutions to the general public, every single of them has to follow our terms and conditions “we don’t just make them up on the spot for you”
It’s to my understanding the conversation escalated to a tenser one, to the point the operator had to transfer you to someone else. At this point you were explained again of our cancellation policies and that it was you that told us to go ahead with the cancellation through an email.
The way you wrote the headline in this review it’s not right, you did not try to amend your booking – you cancelled the booking with us. You have every right to express your opinion of your experience, but at least you should write the truth.
This is a very good example why you should always read the “small print”, the all very important terms and conditions, no matter what you may purchase.
