I've had a Looket G8 for over a year and it has never let me down going direct from A to B but does not allow for a 'via' input if you need to detour. It's very good value for the price. I like useing the 'point on the map' to indicate the destination and plan a route. (read more)

Looket G8 is a good price & value for money. On/Off switch seems a bit sensitive and sometimes means it is put away and somtimes catch switch, when brought out the bettery is dead. Soon re-charges up though. Nice compact resilient design with nice clear screen, very good value for money and would recommend it to anyone. (read more)

As this was a gift I have neither a receipt nor a guarantee. Based on my experience the Looket is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. I found it difficult to understand the instructions on how to programme and use the thing. On the first journey, with the cigarette adapter plugged in the thing went dead within 1 hour and will not recharge. (read more)

Changed the SD Card on my Looket G8 to 4gb, now use it for MP3's and pictures as well. Seems a steal at this price. Also like the facility to change vehicle type, helps avoid narrow roads and dirt tracks. (read more)

The Looket G8 is of the highest standard and works better than my Tom Tom (Bluetooth PDA version at 199GBP), which I have now written off due to poor functionality and inability to transfer onto my new PDA)
The Looket is worth every penny it costs and rumour has it that the integral Windows CE platform may even run Tom Tom Sat Nav software!
Even with the original software, the product is awesome value.

The Looket G8 is an excellent sat nav system for the price. Some fantastic features like speed monitoring. Ability to preselect the start point is a real bonus when pre planning a route. Fantastic product. Would recommend to all. (read more)

If you after a simple satnav then I would buy this one again. Simple to use, has all the functions I needed and it guided me to all my destinations without a fault. I even have it working in the house, under the dashboard etc and it picks up a GPS signal without a problem. (read more)
