    Good Points: Brightness, inexpensive, solid construction


    Bad Points: It would be awesome if it has phase coating on the prism


    General comments: Bought the Zen-Ray VISTA 8x42 8x pair of binoculars after my old bushnell 10x50 fell off from the car and broke into pieces. I didn't want to spend too much money on a pair of new binoculars, yet still looking for a reasonable quality optics. Quite a dilemma! I spent almost the whole winter last year trying different kind of binoculars under $200 to decide. After receiving my VISTA 8x42, I was delighted by the quality of optics. It is built very solid. I have used it extensively for my birding watching trip in the last 6 months. It is performing very well. Brightness and image clarity is one big plus.
