Love the llook, great graphics and very interactive screen. I was a bit nervous about the touch screen texting, but it was the easiest thing in the world, in two days i got proficient at it. its great for taking photos, and short films, and a great source of entertainment for my baby when we're in the car and she's bored. i expected the battery life to last longer though. fast phone, as well. in terms of price I got the phone through a contract so it ends up being quite expensive, but i... I really like the iPhone, it is really easy to use, and everything you need like a calendar, calculator, calls and photos are all there in front of you. Although I do have to say that if I had the choice, I would easily trade mine in for the iPhone 4. (read more)

since I bought the iPhone 3G (brand new £400) the headphones that came with it started to crackle after a month. when I bought some new apple 3G aproved headphones i found music to fast forward & i had to restart the phone. Much as I love Apple products for their ingenious design styling, I am disappointed with the Iphone. Not just the battery life, but the number of dropped calls. The iPhone 3G is a great phone even though people are raving about the iPhone 4. The 3G is pretty good. I have spilled soda on the iPhone 3G and dropped it a million times and it hasn't broke. I love my Iphone 3G. Got it shortly after it was released here in the UK and it's still going strong. Battery still lasting as it did, no software issues (like I had with previous phones), everything just seems to work.
I use a mac at home so when I run a sync, everything seamlessly integrates. It's phenomenal.
These are notorious for being quite sensitive and breaking easily. I completely disagree with this as my 2 year old plays games, opens & listens to music and videos on this and...

The best thing I've ever bought without a doubt! I should get it surgically attached to my right hand - I can't be without it! It serves as my diary, my computer, my games device... The app store is simply brilliant. It holds a good amount of music too.

I brought the iphone 3Gs from Vodafone in January as soon as it was released to contract customers,and without a doubt save for still trying to get use to texting, its the best phone I have ever had and used. Dodgy updates, lots of stress lots of unusable apps. Overall the most problematic phone I have ever owned. Useless updates that slow it down just when they release the next model. Always been a fan of apple imac products. But not any more bad updates made to get you to buy the next model. I love the iphone, it has almost everything I need and looks great. I have recommended this phone to others and even those who do not go for techy phones have started swaying, thats how good this phone is.
The only downside I can see is lack of certain business uses e.g. at my work place we have an online calendar that you can subscribe to via .ics files. The iphone doesn't work with this and other business phone users such as Blackberry work fine. My line manager who will be approving...

No doubt the Apple iPhone was game changer when it came out. I too was entranced by the hype machine and wanted an iPhone and to be honest, with good reasons......in places.
I say "in places" mainly because there are some major things that bring the iPhone down in my opinion, but first lets cover the good.
Good things:
1) It's a beautifully crafted device
2) The screen is fantastic
3) The touch interface is the best out there

This apple iphone is a lot more than just a phone, this is the ultimate pocket computer and should be reviewed as such. Mine has replaced my phone, iPod and ipaq with a single device that also gives me even more functionality than I had before! A cracking device I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. (read more)

So I love my iPhone and I couldn't live without it all things considered. I used to carry around a Blackberry and a mobile which wasn't an ideal situation. Add in the fact that I also carted around an iPod and a camera and the pockets were getting crowded. The iPhone gets rid of that dilemma for average everyday situations (I would still always take a camera on holiday or to a party for example). So it's already got lots going for it.

I bought an iPhone 3G from Italy where they come factory unlocked. At first I was very impressed. I simply inserted my UK 3-Network SIM card and I could use my free minutes and Internet allowance (I have heard rumours that 3-Network have now stopped this, hope it's not true).
I was totally blown away by the amazingly smooth graphics, and the contents that was available on the App Store (including some very cool free apps).
Unfortunately, after a few months of owning the unit, I soon grew tired...

I cant believe how much i agree with everything you have just said about the iphone. I own a HTC Hero myself, and it is an amazing piece of kit, and i have not found any fault with it yet. Apart from the bluetooth will only connect to in car kits, however this will be sorted when the new 2.0 software comes out very shortly. Other than that, i love it!! I wish i waited another 2 months tho, because now the desire is out, which is phenomanal!!! 1ghz processor?!?!?! compared to iphones lame 600mhz!! desire is the way to go. i sell business mobiles to businesses and it frustrates me when people want an iphone, because there very tight to do because of the cost of them! so over - priced, and definately over-rated. I dont see the fuss over an iphone, they just had very good marketing on them, and now everyone wants one. NOT ME :) I would rather have any htc all day long. If your looking for an android phone, HTC Desire. cannot fault it. I sell them on contracts, so reply back if your interested!!! :)

I've had the 3g for a few months now and I still can't put it down. The screen quality and usability are second to none. Initially the qwerty keyboard was a bit fiddly, but after some practice even my fat thumbs type fast. The few limitations it does have are being addressed in version 3.0 of apples firmware which will finally complete this outstanding device. I have my email, calendar, to-do list and notes on it for work, then I use it to check cinema times, football scores and directions to pubs in my social life!! Oh, and Facebook of course... The iphone's is undoubtedly a good phone but the best feature in my opinion is the accessibility of the internet in terms of speed of connectivity and quality of web pages displayed. The web page expand-reduce functionality is really clever and useful. The only real reservations I have are that if, like me, your fingers are not pencil thin then using the touch screen can be a bit frustrating as the keys are very close together. Overall, a great piece of kit, but I think anyone looking at it objectively will admit that it has it's faults. For me, the godd points o the iPhone 3G outweigh the bad by a mile, but if you want to just make calls and take pictures you can do better. For me the thing I love most is the App that allows me to programme my Sky HD box to record when I am out of the house - incredibly easy to use and works every time. (read more)

I received my iphone 3G a week ago now. Having been an iphone 2G user I had great expectations. It was a mistake to set my iphone 3G expectations too high as it isn't much different. Its only marginally quicker (when 3G is available) and you do get the added benefit of GPRS. The GPRS could have been so much better if they added some basic sat nav functionality.
I used the iphone GPRS the other day whilst on foot in Manchester. It got really confused when the street density became high....

Great touch screen, fast easy for internet , like that I can store all of my contacts regardless of whether they have mobile phone ie. holds addresses too. As with all ipods great for playing music. Generally I love the ipod phone but I felt slightly annoyed that you are unable to forward text, as this is a large part of my phone use. O2 told me that it wouldn't do picture messages or bluetooth, but not to worried about those. And yes, I do know that I can download a patch for this but hey... (read more)

Plastic housing has lower quality than the metal one of the first iPhone. Cannot synchronize photos FROM the phone to the PC automatically, only the other way round.
Operation and design far beyond any other mobile device. Everything is just simple and beautiful. The original headset has a good sound quality. Although my previous phones had HTML browsers and e-mail clients as well, I never used those features really. On the iPhone it's really simple

I'd been waiting for the Apple iPhone for months. I even borrowed a friend's old non-3G phone to try it out.
As an O2 select customer, I was able to upgrade three months early. With eager anticipation I walked into my nearest O2 store and demanded "Upgrade me to the 16 GB 3G iPhone NOW!!!" - well, almost.
With hands trembling and mouth watering, I took possession of the most eagerly awaited phone ever. I've had a couple of days to put it through it's paces and so here goes...

I can only assume people walk in off the street and buy without doing any research whatsoever. Well more fool you! Moaning about poor camera, no MMS and no bluetooth (does do headphones). Well it does exactly what it says on the tin!
You have to decide what you want from a phone, how much you are prepared to compromise on features and then decide on a model? Why buy a phone then moan about its lack of features that it never purported to have in the first place!

Fast 3G browsing and GPS ~(very usefull)
Beautiful screen with plenty of memory for full length movies and music videos.
An overall brilliant piece of kit, combined with O2's supperb signal and connectivity. Hard to find a flaw with it.

I picked my iPhone 3g up approx. a week after it was released, since then i've had no problems with it, it was swiftly setup through iTunes amd was working straight away. I did have a slight issue with the battery life but the first update sorted that out! all in all a stunning phone, stylish looks meets excellent productivity. The only issues are the 2mp camera and not being able to send picture messages! (read more)
