The LawnRake 32 is very lightweight and easy to use, it is a much quicker way of getting rid of thatch and moss than using a normal hand-rake. Also collects all of the moss , leaves etc in a huge containar at the front. Easy to empty too. I use this great piece of machinery in the middle of January each year, since after the frosts, to remove thatch that collects due to fallen leaves on the lawn from autumn the previous year. Sometimes I use after mowing in the summer, since my mower doesnt have a collection box, therefore trails of grass is left everywhere on the lawn, still a bit disappointed when I leave the raker for 2 secs and it falls backwards and causes a big mess!
I give it a 9 though because it has a fainting defect! Cost would be the really bad point, quite expensive. The machine part of the raker is in my opinion the lightest part and the collection container would be the heaviest, since if left standing it falls backwards which could soon damage it.

The Qualcast Lawnraker 32 has the feel of the B&D lawnraker that I had 20 years ago, worked over by a production engineer so that some of the parts (e.g. the collecting box & its clips) are cheap & nasty, but in my opinion not by someone who has thought about what a gardener wants. Could so easily be better. The power lead is short (12m) and fixed, so tempting one to use an extension cable. The control switch is awkward (and strictly right-handed). Collection is poor - thatch piles up on the lip ...- Read MickBee's review (194 words)

I love my Qualcast Lawnraker 32, I was going to buy the Flymo lawnrake compact 340 but having read so many bad reviews mainly with the motor burning out after a single use etc I was put off completely. My personal view is that Qualcast (Bosch) is a better make than Flymo anyway so I felt I had little to lose. Overall - well pleased, I made the right decision. Easy to select height settings you can collect everything from just leaves and cuttings down to moss and thatch etc.- Read Snigsy's review (158 words)
