We stopped at South Meadow in July 2012, it was amazing. Very clean, high quality finish, lovely surroundings and very friendly and helpful owners. Looking forward to visiting again this year 2013. (read more)

I have just returned from a great stay at Kilminorth Cottages. The cottages have been recently renovated to a very high standard making them very luxurious, but retaining all the original character. The pool is a great feature, heated and maintained to an immaculate standard. The cottages nestle in their own land, in a wooded valley just outside of Looe. The coastal village of Polperro is also well worth a visit and all the great things about cornwall are also accessible. The owners are... (read more)

Kilminorth Cottages is a must visit to fully appreciate it. Stayed for 3 nights too bad it was fully booked before we booked would have loved to stay longer. Incredibly helpful, friendly owners and very well trained dog. Most beautiful relaxing location yet also close to lots of different activities depending on your taste.Cottages themselves beautifully luxurious and modern but still with a great ancient feel and super comfortable and cosy..I could go on..All in all an amazing experience..... The new owners of the cottages are systematically refurbishing them all. We spent a long weekend in the 'Hay Barn' cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Despite being initially put off by the negative reviews on Review Centre and Trip Advisor, we went ahead on the strength of the photos on the Hoseason's web site. I'm glad to say that we were very pleasantly surprised. Our cottage had been gutted and refurbished to a very high standard with all the mod-cons and high grade... (read more)

there were 8 in our party and everyone one of us were extremely disappointed with the accomodation at kilminorth farm cottage. we felt very misled by the property description which described it as superior accomodation for those looking for something a little bit extra. there was a socket hanging off the wall in the lounge, the beds were uncomfortable, old and broken. i did not want my children to sleep in them. there was no microwave as described. the slabs around the pool were full of... Fantastic location but this is not enough to make a great holiday unfortunately!! The cottages are in desperate need of renovation, they are damp, smelly, old fashioned and I would actually be embarassed to hire them out to people!!! The furniture is old and tired, the rooms need a good clean and the bathroom was unusable to us with a smelly carpet and hideous brown dirty bath, toilet and wash basin. No upstairs window locks so I was concerned for my small children. There were weeds all... (read more)

We have stayed at Kilminorth Cottages on 3 occasions. Our first visit was in September 2005 and was for a midweek break, we enjoyed it so much that we returned the following two years and stayed the full week, this time in June. Yes the cottages are in need of some TLC but we found the location and the ambiance of the place and the close proximity to Looe and Polpero the main draw. There are some lovely gardens to sit on an evening with a glass of beer or wine overlooking a beautiful valley.... The kilminorth farm cottages are in an idealic location surrounded by lusicious green farmland as far as the eye can see. However the interior of the cottages is the problem. The rooms were damp, very old fashioned and needed a good clean. The owners would only need to spend a small amount to modernise the cottages (included the very dated 1980's bathroom which was so grotty and smelly I was afraid to use) to build on what is otherwise a fantastic site.
I would not recommend this to...

Kilminorth Farm Cottages are in a good location near to coast. Disappointing standard of accomodation - extremely dated and not practical for small children despite being advertised as such. Accomodation should be modernised as the location and setting could be an ideal base to explore the lovely coastal area. (read more)

We had a fantastic holiday and the only disappointment was the standard of the accommodation. A small investment in the furnishings in the accommodation would make this an ideal location. I would advise the owners to invest in this rather than an indoor pool. We used the pool showers as the one in the cottage was a trickle. Advise anyone going to use family railcard to get around. Parking at Looe station was £3.50 per day and a short walk into town or train links to Liskeard and main line.... (read more)

We were initially disappointed with the quality of the Kilminorth Farm cottage but tried to make the most of the good points and enjoyed using the tennis court and swimming pool. Saying that I would not book another holiday at these cottages unless they had been spruced up first. A welcome addition would have been a basic grocery pack on arrival. (read more)
