I would strongly recommend anybody wanting to use this company NOT TO,me and my husband have been lyed to by different members of staff, regarding getting our money back,i was told 3 weeks ago that my money would be in my account but to allow 3 working days for it to be cleared,we are still waiting...this company doesn't solve your debt problems, the biggest problem you get is getting your money back after you close your account with them.we are considering legal proccedings to try and get our money back.please please please read the reviews before you think of going with a company like this,we have learnt a big lesson in life, stay well away from harrington brooks, they need reporting to the trading standards.ps i hope the manager of this company reads this review.

Found Harrington Brooks very friendly and helpful, got my loan through in5 days, helped me out of a difficult time. I would definately use them again. I've just looked at their website and didn't realise they could do other things than loans. I spoke to an Advisor, who really understood my situation and helped me loads.- Read Guest's review (56 words and 1 comment)

We still have heard nothing from Harrington Brooks. We've demanded a refund via letter (which they deny receiving) and NO return calls, still. It's now nearly October. Bear in mind we applied in July. Please stay away.- Read amabs's review (37 words)

Ermm i would def recommend Harrington Brooks for a loan, I paid a fee of £49.99 and got the loan through just yesterday, had a free number?? and then another number which was just a national rate number so never rang a premium rate?? the APR was a little bit different to what they said at first but still happy to get the loan cause i couldnt get one anywhere else.
didnt even know they did debt management aswell :S Think i will ring them and get rid of my debts now hehehe

I applied for a loan and was taken in by their cheap talk. My £50 fee was taken in the blink of an eye. Since then, Harrington Brooks have avoided me like the plague. Out of 20 phone calls, I got through twice. And the promise of a return call were duly ignored. I wonder how many they actually approve? Let's say 1,000 applicants. Times that by £50. That's a lot of money gathering interest in their bank accounts. Avoid.- Read amabs's review (78 words)

Harrington Brooks were more than helpful BEFORE they took our £50 on 17th July, and then nothing since. Daily high-rate phone calls requesting any progress were met with recorded messages. Letters and MORE high-rate phone calls requesting a refund have proved wothless. We are seeking legal advice and sincerely hope Watchdog pay them a visit, soon. Please, please listen. DO NOT entertain their false promises. We, too, are £50 worse off and a monumental phone bill to boot. Tell your fr ...- Read Guest's review (83 words)

Harrington Brooks contacted me and took £50 for a loan application. They then went on to take this payment 3 times! 2 weeks later, after saying that they would sort it out they still hadn't. Eventually they refunded £100 and nearly 2 months later I have heard NOTHING about my application. Please DO NOT use this company unless your credit file is superb, in which case you don't need to use this company. They prey on people who need help and owe money, and their only interest is lini ...- Read jgsoundstream's review (108 words)

Personally I found Harrington Brooks very useful. I thought that they provided an excellent customer service and helped me get my debts under control.
Yes, they do charge a fee but most debt management companies do. And they are always there when I need help. I have a Debt Management Plan and I just make one payment to them and they do the rest.
I would really recommend this company to anyone out there, even if you just need a bit of debt advice, their advisors are happy to help.

Harrington Brooks approached me to offer an IVA but decided this was not the way to go so offered a debt management solution for a fee of £400 plus a monthly charge of 17.5% to administer it, then found out a registered charity called CCCS would do the same thing for nothing so I called back to say I no longer wanted their servives and could I please have my initial payment of £200 back over 3 weeks later and I am still waiting. Wish I had never heard of them.- Read grumpy old git's review (108 words)

I've been paying £150 for 48 months ( £7200)(4 years) now on a £8000 debt, I thought I was nearly done, when I recently asked for a finantial statment it came back at £3500???? when I have since contacted them about this & where the other £2800 was they said the creditor will charge me now and again when the agreement is coming to an end (every 6 months), also they have been charging me around £25 per month, they never mentioned this when I signed up!
