I believe the calls and emails should be monitored. Received more correspondence from yourselves. When you work and still recurve calls when you are informed of best times to contact. The idebt plan is good for the most part, however if an offer is first declined by a creditor HB are slow in following up with second offers, on the whole the process of starting the plan and getting it going seems to take a quite some time. But it's a good service once fully set up. On the whole I have been very pleased with the service Harrington Brooks have provided. It was a slow start which involved me making a lot of phone calls, but once all my creditors had eventually been contacted and replied it all has been running very smoothly.....Up until this week, when I discovered Harrington Brooks had stopped paying one of them in 2011 (I admit I should of checked my statements more often, but I had had no letters to say they had not been paid)! Undoubtedly, the HB service saved my neck, but they aren't the only people providing this service, and other people probably do it better. Their communication is very poor, nobody ever seems to know what their colleagues are doing, and some of their account management is sloppy at best and negligent at worst. “light at the end of the tunnel....”

After a nasty split with partner my financial situation was dire to say the least.... Store cards, loans, credit cards all chasing me for money I simply could not find. As I wasn't confident enough to deal with the creditors direct I was advised that the best solution for me would be to entrust a third party to act on my behalf. “Excellent Service and Advice”

I was nervous of getting in touch with someone about my financial mess but once the first contact had been made I felt as though I wasn't alone anymore to deal with everything myself. The staff explained the options available and didn't judge me at all. I now have a manageable budget and know that when creditors harrass me I only have to get in touch with the helpful staff at Harrington Brooks and they deal with it. I recently signed up to Harrison brooks and then found another company that offered me a better help getting out of debit in a shorter period of time they took the money out of my account instantly but when getting a refund they couldn't pay it back instantly after several phone calls the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing very poor wouldn't recommend them… Read Full Review

We are unable to identify you from this posting.

We are sorry your experience of Harrington Brooks has not been a positive one.

There is a 14 day cooling off period for customers entering into a debt management plan with us, during which time they may cancel and receive a full refund.

If you initially advised us of your wish to cancel within this time frame when please ring in again explaining this.

After 14 days customers may not receive a refund as the plan will be set-up with distributions already made to creditors from money paid in to the plan.

I came to HB with the hope of settling my debts once and for all. Having recently divorced and met the man of my dreams, I felt my divorce and debts were hanging over us. I have been with Harrington brooks for a while and never had to deal with the call centre staff as my payments were direct debit, I then collected enough money to pay my debts off and went through the settlements team as any one would. I don't normally like dealing with call centres, there's normally massive waiting times, unhelpful staff and getting passed from pillar to post...
