Good Points: i.s.s tom mounting system, quality foot pedal-p120pawesome finishes, heavy duty hardware, made in Taiwan .affordable, Good quality.

Bad Points: cymbals that came with the kit are substandard and had dents on them.the tom holders can strip the metal if you tighten them to much, the toms are bulky, snares not that great, throne is ok.

General comments: I am quite happy with my purchase of this Pearl Forum FZ Series drum kit,has many great features like i.s.s tom mounting system which is fast and convenient, and a pearl p120p single chain pedal which is very robust and responsive and heavy weight!I got my set in wine red with black around the hoops and it looks amazing, the hardware that came with the kit was very sturdy and robust in its chrome finish The cymbals that came with the kit are not that great and had rough edges and dents on them.the tom holders can get easily striped /damaged/scratched when you tighten the screw when setting up kit or adjustments. The toms to me seem a bit large and bulky and i think instead of 12' 13' toms they should be 10' 12' .Snare drum is OK but has a terrible ring but most drum kits in this price range do i guess, but this problem can be overcome if use a o ring or tape or something else, then it sounds great! The throne that came with my kit was a d70w......the lowest end seat from pearl its OK, quiet comfortable. The sound of this kit is alright but if it had better drum heads like Remo or Evans it would sound 10 times better. the shells are poplar which is standard in this price category.Overall this is a pretty good quality drum kit and i highly recommend it to beginners and intermediate players.
