“The Tanglewood "chuck berry" lookalike does indeed...”

★★★☆☆

written by on 25/06/2010

The Tanglewood "chuck berry" lookalike does indeed look the part, for under £200 you wont find a better looking copy. All the knobs and bits work fine as long as you dont hammer them. BUT Beware, Make sure you check the neck is sweet and aligned, as a lot of them are out, and this will mean you will get duff sound from your frets near the neck or worse if it is really bad.
One like this could cost anything from £100 to £300 to put right so that it does sound great.
If not sure dont buy, or take someone with you who knows about guitars if buying S/h. Of course if you buy from a dealer you are covered.
Remember the real thing costs thousands, so dont be bamboozled by the looks alone.

cheers
