“Bearings seized easily”

I have had this grinder for 4 years. Maybe ground coffee 15 times wit it {mostly buy pre-ground coffee}. My wife ground some cinnamon stick in it and the bearings seized to where the motor won't turn. Would stay away from this brand. Guess it's time to find a new grinder. (read more)

These coffee grinders seem to have a manufacturing flaw. The blade gets loose and won't turn when the motor is running. This happened to my grinder after just a few months, and to my boyfriend's grinder as well, after a similar amount of time. A quick internet search revealed other users had the same problem with this grinder in particular. “I have gone through two of these in the past six...”

I have gone through two of these in the past six months. The blade comes loose and spins without grinding the coffee. This has occurred with both machines. There is clearly a manufacturing flaw in this grinder with respect to how they attach the blade. I took it back and replaced the first one and the second time around the manager of the store told me that it was my fault for not operating the grinder properly. I have had other grinders of similar manufactur that lasted over ten years.... (read more)

Had it for 7 months for a daily morning coffee use and then it died. The blade had come loose from the spindle and just flopped around. Impossible to take apart and couldn't find any support parts manuals (other than the user manual) in order to fix it. Wouldn't get another one because it couldn't even last a year. (read more)

This Bodum C-MILL 5679-103 Electric Blades Grinder is a poor coffee grinder and I would definitely not buy another. We did not give ours hard service but one day the top cup gave way and it is nigh impossible to open up and repair. Tended to grind coffee too coarsely. Find another make and spend a little more and get vfm. (read more)

This Bodum C-MILL 5679-103 Electric Blades Grinder was a big disappointment. Mine was not fit for purpose. Five months after I bought this machine, it gave up the ghost completely. The blade flopped around, no longer connected to the motor. There was no way to open it up and investigate the possibility of repair. (read more)
