    Good Points: Product is good value.


    General comments: Please be really careful if you opt for purchase and installation of a Homebase kitchen - the product is good but my installation was appalling and they charged double that of independent fitters - I have been trying to settle my dispute with them for 6 months and they couldn't care less - so long as they get your money, they are not bothered about the quality of service. For me this has been a really stressful experience and I would not recommend them to anyone.

    The kitchen planners are not sufficiently knowledgeable about the product and they do not liase properly with fitters to ensure that the kitchen will actually fit your space. Once the installation has started, there is no project manager to oversee the quality of the work and it is left to the customer to assess things for themselves. If there is a problem, they are very slow to resolve matters.

    Bought a Homebase kitchen for my mother's house a couple of years ago. It was ok but really nothing special. The staff are nice and friendly, can't fault them really but the quality of the product isn't a patch on Wickes's (for my own house I took my installer's advice and have been well pleased with it).

    We purchased our kitchen earlier this year from the Homebase store in Bristol, longwell green. Both my husband and I were very happy with the outcome and especially the service given to us from the design and installation teams. We found the whole process stress free. This was because as all we had to do is take some initial measurements, and then choose which appliances we wanted and make some cosmetic selections.     I would recommend Homebase Kitchens to anyone looking for a good looking, simple, modern kitchen. The kitchen arrived exactly when they said it would, nothing was missing or damaged. If you want real wood you will have to go elsewhere but I think it is terrific value for money.
