Good Points: Chooses the gifts for you based on the occasion. Free gift wrapping.

Bad Points: None really that I can think of.

General comments: OverviewI needed a gift for my mother, but being a bloke, I'm genetically incapable of choosing good presents for women! So, I needed somewhere that chose decent but not tacky (meaning the sort of presents that women like to give each other!) for me. Enter Purple Pink and Red, a gift site that catches one's eye because it has free shipping making it very 'man friendly'.The Web SiteBasically, it's a web site that associates special occasions with particular presents and well as having the usual browse options. So, I chose the occasion that I was interested in and it proposed a number, actually a large number - of possibilities. Again, being artistically challenged, I simply went for a gift that was on the first page! The layout of the site is pretty straightforward with the navigation down the left, the basket in the top right and a few ad splashes down the right. It's hard to say anything else about it: all the navigation options are in the usual places where you'd expect them, so it's easy to use.OrderingI order huge amounts off the Internet, and this one is what I'd call bog standard. One thing that I do like, however, is that you get to see shipping costs before having to register an account so you can see the bottom line cost without having to give out your personal details. Once you want to order, it's the usual account creation process, pay by (in my case) credit card (which uses Worldpay) and that's it. I got a confirmation email of the order within seconds. I also added a message on the order to go with the gift.Shipping Costs and ShippingThe cost of shipping is reasonable: not free but certainly not one of those rip-off 'buy a paper clip for 1p that's £120.01 to you including shipping thank you very much sites! The day after the order I got another email saying the order had been shipped and the day after that I got a phone call from my mother saying thanks for the present!The GiftI can't comment here because I never got to see it, but I was informed that it was very nicely wrapped and looked like a proper present. Also, my rather quirky message got through unscathed and perfectly transcribed. The best bit about all that is: I didn't have to pay for the wrapping because it's completely free! OverallA good choice of gifts that are well-selected not cheap and nasty and which offers free wrapping, The ordering and shipping process is very standard and therefore very familiar to anyone that's used the Internet. If you don't enjoy buying gifts and really don't enjoy wrapping them, then this place it perfect. I'll be coming back for more this Christmas.

Nice range of quality products at Purple, Pink and Red. Good and reputable brands. Easy to place an order. Good communication via emails of the status of my order. Love the logo (contemporary - chic but fun feel)! Would definitely shop there again.
