Good Points: Genuinely good reviews, Good Pictures, Always give away CDs and posters, 3 different sections

Bad Points: Occasional mocking of other genres and bands, sometimes repeated material on CDs

General comments: Metal Hammer - Its nice to see a magazine that actually focuses on metal as a genre, and not just the popular, chart topping bands at the moment, although it is a shame to see them put down bands that are not considered 'metal enough,' the magazines layout is rather complex, having 3 seperate sections, which, works surprisingly well in giving the reader a wider selection of topics to read about, the CDs also help people gain a wider knowledge of bands they may not have even heard of before. out of the many rock music magazines out there, this is definately one of the best
